The light of the new day entered the room through the window, make Nao's eyes quivered a bit, dazzled by the light.

He opened slowly his eyes after that and completely awakes from his sleep after a while.

What entered his sight first was the ceiling of his room, which he stared for a while already now, to familiarize his eyes with the light.

He could felt someone's gaze was on him, so he turn his head to the source of the gaze, and could seen there, a cute black-haired little girl, looking at him with a pair of eyes filled with curiosity.

Nao felt surprised a bit and stunned, made the two of them stared at each other in the eyes for quite a long time. But afterwards, 'Ah, that's right.' Nao said inside, regained his sense, and recalled about what happened yesterday.

'For now . . . .' He thinks about what to do first and smiled at her faintly after that.

He wakes up, sat on the bed and looked at her, said, "So you awake already?" and smiled at her.

He helps her to sat on the bed and asked again, "First of all, could you tell me what's your name and how I should call you?"

He knew her name already, but it'll be strange if he suddenly know her name out of nowhere, so he asked her about her name first.

"Na . . name? . . . My name . . ." She said in a small voice and went silent after that, tries to remember about her name.

After a while, she seems to remembered something and said, "Yu-i?" and looked at Nao again, "Yui. That's my name." She said.

Nao smiled and nodded at her. After that, he said again, "Then, Yui-chan. Did you remember about what happened to you, or anything else?"

She went silent for a while again, trying to remember what Nao asked her, but shook her head in the end and said, "I . . Don't know. I don't remember anything."

"I see. . ." Nao said and thought after that, 'I think because she appeared earlier, she would still remember about one or two things, and that way, she would also remember why she collapsed in front of the door, but . . .'

Nao think that maybe she was still had a bit of her memory, but it seems that her condition was the same like in the story, corrupted and damaged. And because she get out of the system in that condition, she became like a child with no memories at all with her. Well, she still remember about her name, though.

She could regain all of her memories again, and Nao knew the way, but, 'The console, huh.' Nao thought while pinched his chin.

Nao knew from the story, also from all of the results which his clones manage to got after analyzed and compared the system used in SAO and ALO, that even though Yui right now not too different from a really interactive NPC, but once she could access the system again through the console, she could regain all of her data again, or "remember" about everything again.

But she need the console to do that, but aside from the console was inside the hidden dungeon, the place also had a strong boss who guard it, The Fatal Scythe.

'I doubt I could defeat that thing alone . . well, at least for now.' Nao thought with closed eyes.

'Also' He opened his eyes slightly and said inside again, 'I don't know if the hidden dungeon was opened already now. Well, it's there, but from what I know, no one know there's a dungeon there until it suddenly opened one day and the [Army] want to monopolize it.'

Nao had looked for the dungeon before, but never found it in the end. His objective? Of course the GM's emergency console.

It was a very annoying thing for Nao to admit about it, but it's really hard to hack the system from the outside when the hateful guy, Kayaba Akihiko, around. Even Nao had to admit that he didn't have the confidence to hack the system unnoticed by him.

Nao did that already after all, many times on top of that, but Kayaba always could noticed it, and solved anything it was Nao implanted into the system every times. He also always change the security system, even to the very detailed one, after solved the problem, make Nao always need to find another new way to enter the system again.

It's really hard from the outside, but the story would be different if it was from the inside, Nao thought. It was the console mean to be used by the GM after all, so it must be, at the very least, had a direct access to the main system.

But still, even though it won't as hard as from the outside, do it from the inside won't easy either.

The GM account was already used by Kayaba as Heathcliff after all, and he wasn't an idiot type person either, who would . . . . um let's say . . . "accidentally"? maybe, or "bored enough"? to actually create more than one account, which had the same high authority like the one he used to control the game.

So in the end, what someone could access even with the console would be still very limited.

But for Nao, as long as it had a direct access to the main system, make the process to bypass the protocol or find a way himself unneeded, all of it was enough.

Not to mention how familiar already he was with the system right now, even someone like Kirito could convert Yui's core data into an item with the console, so for Nao, the direct access was more than enough.

'Hmm~ To think of it,' Remember about it made him wonder, 'Kirito could do that in the story, but could he still do it too right now?' Nao tilted his head wondering about it.

He wondered about that because the system was different right now, thanks to Nao's attempts to implanted his own program inside. So as the responses, Kayaba always change the security system, make the difficulty to hack the system always raised every time after it solved.

'That bastard even change the whole sequence in the end, and if not because my clones analyze it after we bought it from ARGUS, I won't ever know the reason about how differently the respond the system give to my every instruction at that time. To think that he had a nerve to even reset the module and change the syntax in the . . . . . . Sigh~' Nao said, annoyed at first but could only sighed in defeat in the end.

Though he learned anything fastly, he still always defeated again and again by Kayaba's creativity, Nao thought and sighed again.

He rearranged his thought again and think about the previous problem again.

'Well, to put it simply, the difficulty was entirely in different level right now, so . . . let's say, if everything happened like in the story, isn't everything would be damned? I even doubt that Kirito could found the first root access, considering how complicated the system right now after that hateful guy change the syntax and the module.' He thought with a bit of frown.

'If the main system, Cardinal system, detect her after she touched the console, then after that Kirito failed, isn't that mean she would be . . . .' He thought about it again and looked at Yui, 'Erased by the main system, right?' He said inside and could felt a guilty feeling inside.

Though indirectly, because of him, Yui almost erased before could be converted.

To begin with, it was unknown is Kirito would told Nao about Yui or not when he met her, and everything happened like in the story. If he really didn't told Nao about her, and Kirito did it himself, then, almost 100%, Yui would be erased in the end.

All of it would be because the system was changed, and Kayaba change it because Nao. So . . . .

'That was close.' Nao thought and sighed in relief.

Yui's eyes, which filled with curiosity, always on Nao, looked at him who had many expressions on his face all the time. Nao smiled at her, pat and caressed her head gently and thought, 'Well, it's fine right now. I will never let you be erased.'

Yui tilted her head, confused, but smiled in the end.

Looking at her confused expression, Nao remembered that he was talking to her before distracted, so he said again to her and asked, "So, Yui-chan, you didn't remember anything at all? Even a bit?" He asked to her and Yui shook her head in confirmation.

"Well, . . . ." Nao said, then thought, 'It can't be helped. She had [Immortal Object] status as a system, so other than the main system and Kayaba, no one could harm her. And as long as she didn't access the system, which the only way was through the console, they won't ever be able to detect her. So it would be alright as long as she stay away and never touch the console.' Nao nodded slightly, thinking about that.

Yui's attention wasn't on Nao right now, but curiously looking at Haku, who was adorably brushed its head with its paw. Nao noticed it and smiled faintly.

"It's cute, right?" He said with a smile and Yui nodded at his words with a smile too.

"Its name was Haku."

"Haku?" Yui said and tilt her head.

Nao smiled at her response and nodded, "Un! Haku."

"Ah!" He snapped after said that and smiled wryly. He forgot to introduce himself to her, he thought.

"Ahaha, I am sorry, it's a bit late, but," Nao said, scratch his back-head and continue, "My name is Nao. You could call me Nao." Nao said and smiled at her.

"Nawo?" She said.

Nao chuckled a bit and smiled wryly.

'Is it that pattern? I think my name was the easiest name to be said, and she could said "Haku" clearly just now, right?' He thought with wry smile.

He shook his head and said, "Not 'Wo', but 'O'. Nao." He said his name to her slowly.

"Na Ou?" She said with tilted head.

Nao chuckled again, a bit loud right now because he almost couldn't hold his laugh.

"Cough, well, maybe it's a bit hard? Then . . . let's see, how you should call me . . ." Nao thought after said that to think about how she should call him.

Yui looks like thinking about something and looked at him again, said, "Papa."

"Eh?" Nao snapped out of his thought and looked at her.

'So it's really that pattern? But still, Papa is a bit . . . .' Nao thought.

He opened his mouth to said something, but Yui looked at him with teary eyes. So he closed it again, thought, 'Ugh, please don't look at me with those kind of eyes, it inflict very much damage to my heart.' And looked at her again.

He couldn't bear it anymore looked at by those eyes, so he sigh in defeat and said inside, 'Well, at least don't 'Papa'.' He thought for a while afterwards and said to her.

"Well, how about 'Otou-sama'? Or maybe just, . . . um . . . 'Tou-sama'?" Nao said. It's a bit long for the former, but he thinks that it would be easy to her to said that.

Yui tilted her head and said, "Ot- . . . um . . . . Tou-sama?"

With his hand, Nao quickly covered his mouth to hide his giggle, 'Sh**, What a destructive power.' Nao said inside. After that, he take a deep breath and calmed himself down.

Reach out his hand, he gently pat her head and nodded, "Un! I'm here, Yui." Nao said and smiled at her warmly.

She looked at him with teary eyes again, but a smile could be seen along with it now.

"Tou-sama!!!!" She said and jumped at him, hugged him.

Nao chuckled and hugged her too, "There. . . There. . ." He rubbed her hair gently.

He smiled a bit thinking that suddenly, he had a daughter right now.

'Well, I could tell Asuna as soon as I want, but I wonder what Sugu and Yuuna would think after knowing that I had a daughter right now.' Nao think and chuckled inside.

'I will protect you no matter what.' He said inside and hugged her more gently.

With that, come along with a new day, a new little family of a father and a daughter also created in this warm log house.
