Reassurance

Alex could feel his heart beating in his chest, so hard that he felt like it could burst out at any second. Alex shut his eyes tight with his mind racing a thousand possible outcomes that could happen to him and Judy as his thoughts poured into his head one after the other, "What if they find us and shoot us on sight", " What if they lock us up, starve and beat us until we beg for death to come upon us","What if they send us back to that awful camp!", "What if…" and then all of those thoughts dropped in an instant as he felt a warm shaky hand hold onto his tightly looking for some sort of comfort from it. It was Judy's hand, as Alex slowly looked up at Judy's scrunched up face, he could see her bright brown eyes filling up with panic, Alex noticed she was biting her bottom lip out of nervousness, Alex thought to himself now fully taking in her features "Wow, shes actually quite attractive.. Wait! what am I thinking, we are in a life or death situation right now and that's what comes to mind?!"

Alex then tried to keep a calm expression to help her calm down and whispered to her "Don't worry. We are going to make it out alive, we will find the special "thing" that will help us, we will go back to my ti- town", Alex can't tell Judy he's from the future yet, shes freaking out enough, "and you can meet my mom, she's the best, and you could live us and-". 

Alex and Judy stiffend when they felt the wagon come to a halt.
