Godly Childhood

#THOR POV#

"HAHAHAHAHAHA" I laugh out loud as I run through the forest of my home

I jump up and then begin to jump from tree to tree as I enjoy the feeling of the wind on my face

I am not wearing anything on my upper body, and I am wearing some leather pants that my mother and I made together

Finding myself reborn as Thor was not something I ever thought would ever happen to me

Not that I am complaining

Even though I look like a rather fit 8-year-old, I am already 80 years old

80 years since I was reborn

I haven't even noticed the passage of time as I have enjoyed my new childhood very much

I am aging a lot slower than humans do

My smile widens as I jump for over what must be a quarter mile in a single jump

I land on my feet and roll as I keep on running around

My body is incredible

I may look like an 8-year-old human, but I can do so much more

My body's muscles feel weak to me but I can lift several boulders at a time and not even get tired

I can stay awake for days at a time before I even feel tired

Mother says it is because of the ritual she used to perform every year in order to release some of the pressure on the seal made by Odin on my divinities is having a growth effect

Well, some of them at least

She was being very careful about it as she is making my Elder God heritage show itself more and more and she doesn't know exactly what it will do with what I inherited from Odin or the Pheonix

But, what it did has definitely shown

I stop running as a certain feeling creeps up under me and turn around and begin to run home as my next lesson will start soon and I don't want Mother to get that disappointed look she gets when I am late

I decide to just forgo running altogether and stop for a moment as I focus on my divine power

Soon enough, I start to levitate and begin to fly home using my divine energy

I break the sound barrier in seconds and soon enough arrive at my room through an opening and gently land on the ground on my feet

The ground shakes a little as mother tells me I am about to be late

I leave my room in a rush and make it to where mothers current avatar body is

"Made it," I say smiling cheekily at her while she looks at me with an eyebrow raised

"You were nearly late," She says staring at me

"Buuuuuut, I wasn't so..." I say raising my hands as I continue to smile to which she chuckles and ruffles my hair

I laugh as she does so

"Oh, hey Mom, I had a few questions from our last lessons," I say as I pick up a bag and bring out a very primitive notebook

Oh, how, hard I worked to learn the process of how to make parchment and even then Mother helped me after she learned what I was doing was similar to what the gods in the Eastern Continent make theirs

Thank you videos

"What are they?"

"Well, what happened to the Titans after they were sent into Tartarus?" I ask her opening up a scroll that I made myself and quickly going over what I wanted to ask her

"Not all of them were sent to Tartarus, Thor. Some of them were imprisoned around the planet. Some of the weaker ones were imprisoned around the planet, while the stronger ones were sent to Tartarus," She clarified

"Oh, what about the Golden Apples that you gave to Zeus and Hera as a gift?" I ask her as I am rather interested in those

"Ah, that," says Mother with a displeased expression on her face

"It was something I made using the remaining energy given to me by the Demiurge, otherwise it would have dissipated, as nothing that I possessed back then could hold the power, so I molded it and turned it into a tree capable of granting mortal creatures eternal life," She says and I frown in confusion at that

"Mother, you told me that the Demiurge was a being of incredible might and that it could achieve nearly anything it wanted, wouldn't any energy left from him be too much for such a thing?" I ask her

"Oh, Thor you are severely underestimating the value of eternal life that the golden apples grant, it also changes the mortal who eats it, becomes capable of withstanding the passage of time without falling mentally to their eternal life, there are a few other benefits but those are the main ones," She says and I nod at that

"But, why give it to Zeus and Hera, from what you told me about them, they are cruel and selfish, Zeus most of all?" I ask her to which she sighs

"Son, I have no idea myself," She says honestly while rubbing her forehead in regret

"At first, Zeus was a good king, but then he began to show his father's side, I gave them the tree to hide its origins, doesn't exactly matter though, I still have 2 seeds that I can plant to grow 2 more trees," Says Mother and my mind blanks out at that

"You can have 2 more," I exclaim making sure not to raise my voice so high

"Yup," She answers nonchalantly

"Can I have one?" I ask her as nicely as I can

"Sure," She says shrugging

"I will give you one, once you 'master'..." She stops looking at me in the eyes for a moment

"one of your divine domains. although, I am not sure why you would be interested in them, as they will have minor effects on you," She says and I lean back as I wait for her to explain

"You are an Asgardian, they are not exactly known for being immortal, they just age a lot slower than humans and they age even slower when they get stronger, and add the Apple Of Idunn on top of all that, their aging becomes even slower and depending on their actual age, they may even regain some youth," Mother explains before frowning again

"Then again, you are also an Elder God, and the ritual that helped some of your domains break free from Odin's restrictions did bring about more aspects of your Elder God side to the surface without clashing with your Asgardian side," She says while rubbing her chin in thought

"Anyway, if you eat it will instead restore a bit of your life giving you some more years, around 50,000 years or so, it will also heal you from lethal injuries and I know Asgardians can get sick, although, I have heard about it only once or twice, although it was a disease that brought Asgardians back from the dead or at least their bodies..." She says and I start sweating at that

Fuck that

"...it cures those diseases," She finishes explaining

"What about the effects on mortal beings?" I ask her

"Well, that is a longer talk but we were going to cover this in a few years but I can see that you are very interested in this topic now," She says while bringing up a wall of stone that magically carves itself with words

Thankfully in the Asgardian language

"First, as I said before, Mortals will obtain eternal life, and with that life the mental capacity to withstand said life, the benefits for this are faster healing rates, no longer requiring sustenance, and increasing their physical capabilities tenfold, and even in some cases where the mortal has only barely died and the body is in relatively in one piece, it can bring them to life, and most important of all, the Golden Apples can give a mortal a Spark Of Divinity" She says as the words magically carved themselves into the wall of stone and I take my notes

"Now, this Spark is just that, a Spark. With said Divine Spark, a mortal can through its newly obtained eternal life, obtain a domain through being experienced in a certain thing or through being...worshipped," She says the last part in disgust

"Why is being worshipped a bad thing, Mother?" I ask her picking up on that fact

"Its not a bad thing by itself, but the effects that it can have on a deity are...unpleasant. It's alright to use the power obtained by being worshipped to temporarily empower oneself beyond ones normal state. But the effects of relying on it too much can prove disastrous," She says warning me

"Never come to depend on it and only use it in your greatest times of need, do you hear me, Thor?" She says

"Yes, Mother," I answer her as I already begin to get ideas about the consequences of relying on faith

"Now, moving on to Demigods," She says sighing

"For Demigods, eating a Golden Apple, also grants the effects mortals. However, their power becomes complete shall we say,"

"Complete?" I ask

"Think about the powers of a Demigod whose parent's domain is the Wind and the other lightning,"

"A demigod usually only gets the power of all of their parent's domain albeit much weaker, or at the very most, a great control of one possibly even rivaling their godly parent and barely anything for the others, wind could be the dominant power, while lightning would be less powerful, very rarely does a demigod get access to their parent's complete sphere of power, those that do are much more powerful than other demigods," She says

"For other gods, they would probably only find it very tasty and it would heal them from nearly anything they are afflicted with. There is still a lot more to discuss about it, but that should cover it for now," She finishes while I write everything down on my scroll

A plan beginning to form once I make my own tree capable of making Golden Apples...
