Tokyo, Japan,

Shibuya Ward,

Samuel POV,

Samuel walked down the street, a bag in his hand and Rin on his shoulders looking around in curiosity,.. despite her original dislike for the idea, now the little girl was actually enjoying herself having wanted an older sibling for a fairly long time..... It was, everything...no, beyond what Rin had expected and for that she was grateful to Samuel.

"It's pretty cool how they don't even question the last name isn't it?" He remarked looking up at Rin who stared down blankly, "That is how the system was built." She reaffirmed that Hayes had a fairly intriguing system when it came to the security of their members and it was, while somewhat inefficient, certainly something that worked.

The Sun still blared overhead, illuminating all below it. Only a few clouds were present in the blue sky and by now, some schools had let their students go. Similarly, most office workers would also be returning by now..... if this was any other country that is, "Damn Workaholics." Samuel chuckled picking up his pace, these people had an obsession with working overtime for some reason.

As Samuel walked on the mostly empty street, a tall and lean yet muscular man passed by him making Samuel look over in curiosity as they moved by one another. His hair was shaved on the sides but long and slicked back at the top, he wore black full rimmed glasses and was fairly well dressed in a dark brown most likely designer suit.

Samuel, who was initially surprised at someone being nearly as tall as himself in this country, widened his eyes in shock as his gaze fell on the man's eyes, they were...pitch black with white pupils.

...How was something like that even possible?

From his build, Samuel had already surmised that the man was a martial artist and sensing danger, he put Rin in his arms before jumping to the side narrowly dodging a swing from the stranger. "Man, my life is really hectic." Samuel lightly patted Rin's head with a small smile on his face. "What is...?!"

"I suppose, your reputation isn't really all talk." The man remarked, taking off his glasses slowly as he looked at Samuel, a small amused smile on his face. "I have a reputation?" Samuel asked in slight surprise as he put Rin down, the girl hiding behind his leg somewhat frightened.

"Fight me, kid. Beat me and you can have anything you want." The 'man' said, taking off his coat and putting it on the wall next to him. He had come here specifically in search of this kid, he needed a successor urgently.

"..... Is that so?" Samuel gave him a close eyed smile, why did every crazy come his way? From the way the stranger talked it was obvious that he was here for Samuel himself, and have anything you want? What was that even supposed to mean?!

"Samuel Hayes, sent to juvenile prison on account of murder. Transferred countless times on account of extreme violence, it's surprising you managed to get out on parole.... You're exactly what I've been looking for." The man said putting his glasses away revealing the cross shaped scar between his pitch black eyes, someone with a reputation like this not attracting a man like himself would be heresy!

"Ahahaha...." Samuel laughed awkwardly covering Rin's ears with his hands, she didn't need to hear all of that...yet. This though, was exactly the part that made the Hayes' family security system incredibly inefficient.

The Hayes Family name was originally something else however, all records of that one had been removed by them. 'Hayes' itself was a last name fairly common in the Western World and therein lay the advantage of using it, while true when someone had said last name it could be someone related to the Hayes Conglomerate yet at the same time, the chance that it was not was far greater.

Which possibility would the common man go for? That what stood in front of them was someone with a net worth of more than a trillion dollars or simply a nobody that shared the same last name? The choice was natural, it would be the latter 9 out of 10 times.

To reduce the threat even more, the Hayes had a low presence so long as media was concerned, rarely attending public events and even then, most of the time it would be the patriarch and his spouse rather than the whole family.

A certainly ingenious system of self preservation.

Though it did come with it's own problems, one of these was exactly what Samuel was facing right now. People would clash with them not knowing who they were.

But he digressed, Samuel scratched the back of his head, "I don't really have any reason to fight you." He said slightly awkwardly, moreover his sister was here. He'd rather avoid conflict in the presence of a child.... and he knew himself, he knew he would end up getting carried away if he did in fact fight.

Before he could notice, or rather react considering he was consciously restricting Auto Counter in an attempt at lowering fatal injuries, a fist slammed into his cheek and much to the shock of himself and Rin, he was thrown to the side like a ragdoll and crashed into a wall.

"God damn." Samuel said rubbing his jaw, the man hit like a damn truck. He was pretty sure the one hit had managed to shake his whole skull. Any damage dealt might regenerate but it still hurt. His back up against the wall, Samuel who had yet to stand up slowly got to his feet.

The man grinned at him, "You look like that didn't even bother you."

"Well, no shit." Samuel replied wiping away the blood from his lips, he had worked out ever since it was physically possible for him to do so, no shit his endurance was high. "Rin, you alright?" He asked, smiling at his sister, trying to convey that he wasn't in any kind of trouble and the girl hurriedly ran to his side.

"A-Are you alright?" The previously stern girl had teared up making Samuel ruffle her hair, she was a kid after all. "Yeah! I'm completely fine." He reassured her with a cheeky grin, flexing his muscles, he wasn't gonna do anything in front of the kid if it was the last thing he fucking did.

"Gun." The man.... or rather, Gun said raising one of his hands to the front, holding the other diagonal, yes, coming here was indeed worth it! He could count the people that could brush off a direct unguarded hit from him, even if he held back, in his own two hands!

Grinning so wide it looked creepy, Gun placed a hand over his chest before ripping away his own shirt revealing a well built body underneath, two long scars, one horizontal and the other vertical ran over his body reaching down to his stomach, his two arms which had previously been covered were covered with tattoos up to the elbows.

"How shameless." Samuel joked covering Rin's eyes with a hand, it was obvious that he had no real intention of fighting here. As for getting punched? Ehh, it was all good, everybody oughta get decked once in a while.

"You.... have no intention of fighting do you?" Gun looked at him with wide eyes, there was no way a martial artist would deny a fight! There was no way someone devoted to the path of power would do so either. How come Samuel was completely docile here? With a reputation such as his why was the teenager not boiling mad after getting caught off guard like that?!

"Nope." Samuel answered with a close eyed smile, clearing away Gun's doubts whose face contorted in a mix of rage and confusion, was he being looked down on here? He wasn't worth his time, was that what he was trying to say here? Gun was actually pretty serious about this!

Samuel slightly tilted his head, he felt that there were some serious misunderstandings going on in his attacker's mind... He really just had no real interest in fighting here, at least not in front of a child. "Then, the girl...." Gun moved his hand towards Rin who was standing near Samuel but before he could move even slightly, a fist slammed into his face... or it would have, he had put his hands up in time blocking the attack.

The force behind it though, dragged his entire body several feet backwards. Steam rising from his bruised forearm as he grinned widely, this was what he was after!

This time, there was no snarky remark.

Gun looked at the young man grinning in a twisted sort of joy, the young man's clothes did nothing much in the way of hiding his body which seemed to be built purely on muscle, as if it was built for the sole purpose of fighting. Samuel's hair appeared as if it stood on end, his blue eyes seemed to glow softly as he stared at the man in front of him.

Samuel hadn't known the girl for even a full day... what he knew was that she was his sibling, his sister. That was more than enough, he wouldn't let anything in this world harm that girl even if he had to die for it and so, anyone making a move on her was enough for him to fight, to fight to the death, to fight with anger. He exhaled, steam exiting his mouth despite the not so cold temperature as he eyed Gun.

"Come at me boy!" Gun grinned widely, this... this is exactly what he was looking for! A Beast! A beast among men! To think that threatening a girl would actually manage to provoke him! His muscles tensed up, as he got into a stance... even if excited, he had to take him seriously.

A bit of an expo, the group chat as of now only has one member which is himself and he's the 'owner' not the 'admin'. He has the power to add, remove, mute etc any and all members that might join. Next, the members don't join by themselves nor do any invitations get sent out or something, the only way to get a member is to invite said member himself. The missions themselves are a built in mechanism of the group chat itself and serve no higher purpose, there's no big bad or someone behind everything bullshit. They're essentially randomly generated tasks and objectives built into it. Samuel himself, can get members from other worlds or add ones from his own too but the latter isn't going to happen so rest easy on that one. As for the first world, it's either Re Zero or Code Geass.

Right, I managed to find a good example of Samuel's current state. You can find the picture in chapter comments.
