A Thousand Worlds

A not so average life ends, and a second one begins. A chance to redeem? Nahhhhhh, a chance to live out dreams would be a more apt description! But as with all, a simple man living out his dreams isn't quite the best of the best, nor the most of entertaining. A chat group (a certainly peculiar one) has been thrown into the mix as well. ==== Find extra chapters at: p@treon.com/stoned_face

Excited? ....Hol Up!

Tokyo, Japan,

Shibuya Ward,

Samuel POV,

A few minutes had passed since then and Shoko was now simply silent, not saying one word as Samuel thought about just where he had gone wrong. "I apologise for anything I might've done." he said in sign language, but this in turn only made the girl shake her head in panic trying to convey that he had done nothing wrong.

THIS in turn only made Samuel think that he had done something wrong and so he apologised once more.

Both of them misunderstood each other's intentions but before the misunderstanding could go further Samuel took a deep breath and signalled, "I'll be off now, good luck with ummm, shopping.", he smiled at her and turned to leave. Shouko in response tried to say thank you but it only came out as some strange sounds, "Shank."

"You're welcome." Samuel replied with a close eyed smile and walked away with a hand in his pocket, that was certainly a peculiar meeting. "So, where exactly does this put me?" He wondered out loud, what he just interacted with was a character from the movie 'A Silent Voice' but he was fairly sure some of the other people he had seen were supposed to be a part of the few anime and manga series from his last life that were missing in this world.

Samuel scratched his cheek as he walked, it was kind of expected to be honest, what with the group chat and all so it wasn't all that annoying or bothersome to know.

As Samuel walked away, Shouko looked at his back slightly reaching out with her hand, "W-Wa.." but he was already gone,.... she hoped she'd be able to see the person that was so nice to her again and lamented the fact that she couldn't converse with him longer, she didn't blame him for leaving that fast but rather herself, who had not been able to engage in proper conversation.

Same Location,

Samuel POV,

Samuel walked into the store and looked around a bit, ignoring the gazes he was getting, and a few minutes later, managed to find her in the produce section. Mei picked up a packet of broccoli nonchalantly and threw it in the shopping cart she was dragging along, she noticed Samuel coming her way and waved her hand, "Sammy over here!" she somewhat shouted drawing attention to herself which made Samuel facepalm.

"Rin was right.." he remarked walking up to the shopping cart and grabbing a hold of it, "Mom act your age." he slightly scolded her as she gave him a thumbs down and started walking away unbothered, she wasn't going to listen to them hmph, they were just jealous of her youth!

They then walked over to the meat section and took some fresh looking chicken, and by fresh looking which made Samuel's lips twitch in annoyance, this woman actually spent 40 minutes looking at chicken and deciding which one was more 'fresh'.

"Oh yeah, what about that girl?" Mei asked as they walked, earlier her son had rushed off to be a knight in shining armour to some damsel in distress after all. "She was deaf you know, and the idiot was shouting his head off, guess he apologised so all good." Samuel answered as he pushed the cart, right now, they were in the general grocery section hunting for some cereal and other stuff of basic necessity.

Samuel looked around for a bit and his gaze fell on something he fancied a lot so he bowed his head a bit, "Be back in a bit." He said leaving the cart and walking away as Mei waved her hand dismissively, not really caring about it. She knew Samuel could more than handle himself.

Samuel walked up to one of the isles and noticed a box of.... cookies he hadn't seen before in this life, "Nestle's Toll house?" he mumbled to himself rubbing his eyes in disbelief. How the hell were these things available here?! He quickly reached for it but felt another hand rab onto the box at the same time, what's worse was that it was the last box from what he could see too.

He looked at the other person who grabbed it and saw that it was a girl with magenta hair and eyes, she looked to be a high schooler seeing as she was wearing a uniform and had a fairly petite body, her skin though was fair. What was she doing in here at this time of day?

"Mine." she said with a frozen smile on her face and Samuel only shook his head in response, "Absolutely not."

He wasn't going to give these things up!

"But I'm a girl." she said trying to make up a reason for getting the box as she pulled on it to no avail, not even managing to budge it no matter how hard she tried. "Yes, and?" Samuel said with a straight face, he didn't care about her being a girl, she wasn't getting these things from him!

A few pulls later, she gave up and let go of the box making Samuel smile at her actions, just as he relaxed though, a fist came towards his face and he moved his head to the side dodging it with ease, he grabbed the fist with one hand and had his other pointing at her stomach, ready to pierce a hole through it. It had actually taken some effort to not do so out of instinct.

The girl who only actually looked at the person she was trying to pull something from blushed deeply, but no! She already had Naoya in her heart!...... Wait a second...... Why was something like being ntr'd by an ikemen exciting?

Samuel looked at the girl whose breathing turned somewhat haggard and let go of her, "My apologies, have a good day." he said quickly before walking away with a hurried pace, realising that it would be better to get away from her before she came back to her senses.

But, as if the world was out to get him, he heard a bit of screaming before a gunshot rang out through the place making facepalm, "Just why?" he asked the ceiling which of course didn't respond to his words.

Following that were more screams as the girl from before ran up to him, "W-What's going on?" she asked, clearly frightened. "Why are you asking me?" He tilted his head in confusion, she had tried to punch him in the face not a minute ago.... did she forget that happened out of panic or something?

"I-I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking s-straight." she bowed her head with an embarrassed face, she genuinely had no idea what came over her which often drove her to punch people in the face. Samuel, noticing her earnesty, simply nodded and started walking towards where the gunfire had come from.

"I swear this world hates me." he muttered, taking off his gloves and placing them in his pockets.
