"By the way, how did you get here?" Winy asked again.

"I took a taxi here!" Veronica braced herself and replied.

"Where are the clients? Have they left?"

"Yes!" she continued to lie.

Winy was so happy that the corners of her mouth curled up. "That's great! It's not convenient to take a taxi here. How about we send you home?"
