7 The Awakening

Lilli slowly opened her eyes. She saw a man on his phone sitting in a chair nearby, when a headache stared to form in the back of her head. "Uhh..." Lilli muttered as she tried to sit up, but a sharp pain went through her rib as she cried out in pain. The mystery man, hearing her, went quickly over to the side of the bed and gently laid her back down. She closed her eyes as the pain subsided, then reopened them to see where she was. Everything was white, and as she looked to the side she noticed that she was in a hospital due to all the machines surrounding her. Lilli finally looked to the man next to her as realization dawned on her. The green eyes. They were a dead giveaway. It was the boss of Highland Corp, the company she had interviewed for and recieved the job from. Slightly confused, she asked, " Umm, are you Daniel?" A small smile appeared on his face as he said, " Yeah. I saw you in the park while I was on my break. I came as soon as I could, but I took you to the hospital because you weren't waking up. Who was that man that was bothering you?" Lilli sighed as she said, "That was my ex-boyfriend. He was trying to get back together with me after he cheated." "Oh, well don't see him again-" Daniel started to say as a nurse opened the door and came walking in. She asked Lilli some questions, like if she knew the date and what her name was as Daniel stood awakwardly to the side. Finally, before leaving, she gave some medicine to Lilli to help with the pain. As it started to kick in she started to feel drowsy, and before she fell asleep she muttered, "Thank you." Then all was black.
