When Sh*ts Happen

Aaron's POV:

"Dad, I got married last night," I said as Dad smiled and congratulate me asking when will we announce the marriage and when will we have the honeymoon ASAP.

"I don't know yet my schedule isn't free yet," I said. "What schedule?! You should cancel everything! An heir is more important than that." he said.

"Hmm but this meeting contains the shipment of weapons in Africa. We cannot cancel such a huge thing. Unless you will cover for me?" I asked as he sigh and nodded.

"Really? I will be gone for a week." I said.

"Yeah it's fine," he said.

"Shall I make it a month?" I asked.

"That's absurd!" he said as I laugh. "Yeah right Dad, You will meet her soon," I said.

"Why did you choose her? If you don't mind me asking." He asked.

"Why? I just found her at a club where we both have the same problem and it seems like she's a great girl." I said as he smiled.

"Well I trust my son's instinct," I smirked as I know that Wendy will be a good partner for me.

I guess she has something that I don't.

"I hope I can see her soon," Dad added as I nodded. After I finish my work I went to her house the first thing in the morning to make her breakfast since I know that she's still had her hangover and I wanna be a great husband to her.

Actually, I don't have any plans and I don't know why I choose her I just got this gut that she will be a perfect match for me.

Her Mom was the one who opened the door for me.

I think the girl of Wendy's age is her sister.

They welcome me inside as I told them about my marriage with Wendy and that we already passed it down and registered it as we are now officially husband and wife.

"How can she get married to a stranger?" Her Mom asked and by the look on it, it seems like she didn't recognize me.

"Can I borrow your kitchen?" I asked politely as they nodded.

When I went to Wendy's room I saw her childhood pictures and just like today, she is cute back then too.

"Aaron," she called.

Her calling to my name makes me feel goosebumps.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I will just take a shower," she said as I nodded.

Damn, I wanna fvck her.

Hey, it's not a crime she's my wife now but I cannot just force her to do such a thing. I don't want my wife to walk away from me.

I called my assistant Ela and told her to book me a great restaurant for lunch since I'm bringing my wife with me and appoint my father about the lunch so that he can meet her this instance.

"Congratulations on your wedding Sir," she said as I smiled.

"Thanks, Ela." As I turned off the phone when I saw Wendy throwing death glares at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Ela?" She asked.

"She's my secretary and-"

"Yeah I heard about secretaries and CEOs having an affair," she said that making me confused. "What? What are you pointing to?" I asked.

"Yeah right, Get out now."

"Why? I just called her so-"

"So what?" she asked and glared at me even more.

"I just don't understand you," I said.

"Then leave." She added and close the door in my face as I sigh.

"Her in her red days?" Her Mom asked as I shrugged. "Can we talk?" she said as I nodded and she took me to their garden.

"Wendy planted all of these flowers here." she started.

"She seems to like flowers," I said.

"Her father is the one who likes flowers." She said. "Where is her father anyway?" I asked.

"She's a product of failed marriage," she answered and by the tone of her voice, it seems like she regretted such a thing.

"You see I'm just like her too. My parents got divorced and my dad remarried and remarried again. I haven't even met my real Mom." I said.

"Then you might be very sad too," she said.

"A little," I answered.

"It's not the relationship that we failed. It's our children, We are called failed parents and I am ashamed of that."

I just kept my silence and let her do the talk.

"It's our children that we failed to give a complete family," she added.

Wendy's POV.

So this is how my parents think. I didn't know that they were thinking about such things too when they both decided to break up.

I just thought that she only thought about herself that time as we look at how my Dad turned his back away from us.

The smell of roses and tulips is all around.

I shed a tear remembering how I missed that old man.

"I just hope that the both of you could have a good and better relationship. It was just a sudden wedding but I trust my daughter in choosing you so I will trust you too." Mom said as she holds Aaron's hand.

"No one will be a perfect bride, a perfect partner but I wish for the both of you to love those imperfections not just for the sake of your future kids but also for the sake of your relationship. I admit too that I may not have been a good mother to her and maybe she preferred being with her Dad instead but I just wish for her happiness in life."

I started sobbing as I kept my mouth shut in order for them not to notice me around.

Did mom think about that?

"The only thing that a mother would want is for her child to be happy," she added.

"All mothers want that for their children, Your mother wanted that for you too." Mom said like she was reassuring Aaron that her Mom is thinking that way as she is.

"My daughter might be stubborn sometimes but please bear with her. There are attitudes of her that you cannot understand but please look closely on the bright side and continue."
