11 Getting out and a challenge.

----------------------------------------

A/N: Guys, I have been on the fence about how to deal with Freya for a while now. I have decided to make her a lot less of a thot. She won't be a love interest, but she will be on friendly terms with MC.

Her being not a love interest is not something I am willing to change. But how about some other ideas?

-------------------------------------

The 13th and 14th floor was infested with Hell hounds and Almirajs. They came in massive quantities. Th both of them were one of the weakest monsters on the middle floors. However, what they lacked in individual strength, they made it up with numbers.

The hellhound was a dog monster that would shoot fire out of its mouth. It was the first monster that had an MP value.

Alas, the shot flame was easily dealt with a water spell, oftentimes creating a steam explosion that would take care of the monster itself and the surrounding ones.

If not, a quick stab was all that was needed once you take away the flame shot from the equation.

The Almirajas were far more troublesome to deal with. The usual first Fantasy quest, except this one, wasn't to be messed with.

A white-furred rabbit monster. It had sharp teeth and red eyes. They were very nimble and agile. They refused to come out individually and had a knack for teaming up and working together. That made for very frustrating battles.

[Almirajas]

HP:200

They were quite adept at covering each other up and following up on it. My instincts saved me a time or two from being skewered to the gut by one that sneaked up on me.

''You dealt with that quite nicely. Almirajas can be classified as level 2 monsters when fighting together. Many adventurers die thinking they are weak monsters.'' She said shaking her head.

''Although, I must say. I have underestimated you a bit. You adapted very quickly. I want to see if you can keep going, but I'm sure we will get our ears blown off by Hephaestus already. We don't want to make it worse. '' She chuckled a bit.

As soon as we stepped onto the 15th floor.

''You're right about that,'' I said as I looked back at her.

The way back was uneventful, with Tsubaki joining me in clearing the monsters. It didn't take long to reach the surface.

It was surprisingly the afternoon. We must have only spent around 11 hours in the dungeon.

''So, what are we going to do with the magic stones?'' I said to Tsubaki.

''What do you mean?'' asked Tsubaki.

''I am asking what are we going to tell the guild staff when we trade the stones. I can't just say that I went to the 15th floor and got the stones by killing all the monsters along the way.''

''You got a point. How many do you even have?'' She said.

''Uuh, every single stone I picked up? I stopped when we reached the 9th floor on the way back tho.'' I said as I brought a big bag full of magic stones from my inventory.

''You're gonna put the supporters out of business.'' She laughed, but just shrugged a bit after ''It's not that uncommon for new members to work as porters. I'll just say I went with you so you could get some experience. You can even keep all the valis you get from them. I wasn't thinking of picking them up either way.''

'How magnanimous...'

''I guess that takes care of it,'' I said while putting on a bag on my back. The rest would be done with the inventory and a bit of sleight of hand.

With that, the exchange was simple. If a little too long. The receptionist seemed a little too happy.

Aside from the guild getting a cut from your earnings, the exchanger also gets a small percentage.

Even after that, the total that I got was something around the three million valis ballpark. It was pretty shocking, considering you could live off 6000 valis each day, in a respectable manner.

I chose to separate them into two large gold coins worth one million each. The rest was the change. I pocketed them, but instead, put them in my inventory.

''That may seem like a lot of money. But once repairs, potions, treatment, and other expenses mix in. It starts to dwindle very fast.'' Said Tsubaki perhaps noticing me having stared at the coins for some time.

''Don't forget that this is usually what a party of competent lvl2s would bring in after fighting for their lives in the dungeon. And barely even surviving. You are the weird one.'' She eyed me pointedly.

''Gee, I get it,'' I said lifting my hands in mock surrender.

''Good. Now let's go burn some of that valis off. We are going to celebrate at the hostess of fertility. They serve some of the best booze and food around here.'' She said boisterously.

'Well, shit. I can't avoid it forever I guess'

''Sure, I've heard of it. I probably won't get drunk tho.''

''Sure you won't.'' She grinned.

''Hmm, I mean it.'' She interrupted me, as I was about to continue.

'' We'll see about that.'' She said laughing.

I guess even a half-dwarf is still a dwarf. She must like her alcohol.

' I just hope I don't have to carry her drunk. I always had to.' I said as I shook my head.

The hostess of fertility was fairly close to the dungeon. It didn't take long to find it, with Tsubaki leading the way.

It was a two-story building made of stone that has the appearance of a fantasy inn. As it is located relatively close to the dungeon and was located on the main street. It is usually filled with a lot of customers.
