Highlighting Marissa's Crime.

Maggie remembered how nicely Ella spoke about her mother-in-law. She knew her daughter would appreciate those items if paraded in front of her. But then, she recalled something and thought about taunting Marissa with it.

"You have other grandchildren right?" Maggie asked as she ate her food slowly.

"Yes, I have a grandchild not grandchildren. His name is Ethan and he is such an adorable angel." Marissa's eyes shone brightly as she spoke about her grandson.

"Why didn't you give Ethan those gifts? I'm sure his mum would appreciate it rather than it being handed over to charity." Maggie maintained her sarcasm, ignoring the shame and hurt in Marissa's eyes.

"I remember my daughter said that you treated her horribly even when you knew she was pregnant for your son. Surely, you can't expect her to accept anything from you for her own children."

"I know but I can..."

Maggie interrupted Marissa rudely as she rose to her feet.
