I quickly left Lee's shit shack and went to Floating Cloud City to see what was up with Yun Che. I teleported directly above the city in the sky. The city probably should not be even called a city seeing how small it is. I used farsight and saw that Yun Che, still called Xiao Che was just chilling around with his little aunt not doing much. It appears that I have traveled back in the timeline somewhat as Xiao Che was only ten years old. With my curiosity satiated I warped down to the mountains around the city.
The Bue Pole Star planet seems to be quite large, almost 10x as big as Earth. The 'Profound Energy' they use is quite interesting. I've read numerous Chinese cultivation novels and they all have some type of energy. But what exactly is Profound energy? What is this Qi? From what I could tell the energy used in cultivation worlds or at least this one is a mixture of physical and spiritual energy like Chakra in Naruto. In fact, it is almost the exact same except for the fact that the profound energy has some Nature energy mixed into it because of it being in contact with nature making it somewhat stronger and behave differently, that is why they take in the energy from the world and don't really strengthen the energy they already have within.
I don't have any profound veins or special organs that hold all of my power so the abundance of this energy would be useless to me. I could always make myself a set but there was no reason to as the power I could gain here would be inconsequential. I was already like a billion times stronger than the head honcho of this Universe, The Ancestral God.
I circled back around the mountains taking in the sights before getting a bit bored and warping back to Lee. I want Lee to gain strength and go on an adventure for my amusement but I don't want to bring in things from other universes to make him stronger as that would be cringe. I want to see what he could do by himself with a little nudge.
I fast forward time as I don't want to watch him sleeping for hours on end. When he wakes up he goes about his business, hunting non-profound animals to eat with a bow and sword and then selling their skins at the markets to traders and merchants, and planning his revenge against the little shit Young Master that crippled his cultivation. I thought he would have the typical Cultivation world mindset and would give up on his revenge and go hide in the woods for the rest of his life, hoping to never cross paths with a Young Master again, but for some reason, he was quite stubborn. I watched as he tried cultivating in vain, trying to reach his previous cultivation base of 9th stage elementary profound realm.
It was quite sad and a little disheartening seeing him break down crying over losing his cultivation. The problem I am seeing now is that he doesn't know any other way to get stronger other than the Profound Way. Like most people here he doesn't think outside the box whether due to arrogance, narrow-mindedness, or just plain ignorance. It never even crossed their minds that there could be other ways of getting stronger.
I'm not going to give him any bullshit op wishes or cheats like a system, just memories, and concepts. Things that will expand his horizons and allow him to view things from a different perspective.
Well, enough about that how about that, it's time for me to go back to earth to catch up with the stuff I've been watching. Before I leave I use my magic power to alter a few things about the Blue Pole Star's history and features, I want an environment where Lee could really grow. What I didn't know at the time was that there were a few things up with this version of Against The Gods.
__________
One year ago, Age 745.
The cries of agony reverberate around the ruins of the city as the giant boots of the Oozaru crush the last remnants of a once-proud people. A few short minutes later and deafening silence. The only noise that could be heard is the lumbering steps of the Saiyans as they accomplish another job well done. Prince Vegeta looks into the sky and dismisses the false moon, turning the three of them back down to their humanoid sizes.
Like a well-oiled machine, they pick up their Scouters and pack their things in preparation to leave the planet and report back to Frieza station. With not a word between them, they blast off into space. Just as Nappa was going to press the hibernate button an important alert appears on his scouter. He sees it's a broadcast and switches on the display in the attack pod. What he sees shocks him. He instantly pings Vegeta frantically.
"What is it, Nappa?" Vegeta responds gruffly.
"I-It's your brother, Prince lantro! He's alive, on the broadcast!" This news shocks Vegeta. His brother? Didn't that girly bastard die in the explosion? Vegeta turns on the Broadcast and watches on, speechless, as Lantro turns into a Super Saiyan! Yes, a Super Saiyan and beats the ever loving fuck out of Frieza's brother. After the broadcast ends Vegeta was still speechless. He regains his composure and accesses the comms.
"Change of plans, we are not headed to Frieza Station, set a course for Frieza Planet 419!" Vegeta barks over the comms. He grits his teeth as he hates running away but for now, he had no choice.
Vegeta had his suspicions of Frieza's involvement in the destruction of his planet and from working with him he knows just how paranoid Frieza is. If Frieza really did blow up his planet due to the slight possibility of the legend being true, then what do you think he's going to do now that he knows for sure that it is real and that there are beings out there that can destroy him that aren't gods?
Vegeta's grip tightens almost to the point of breaking his own hand in anger, but after a deep breath, he smirks.
Over the course of the years, Vegeta's strength had grown leaps and bounds rivaling Captain Ginyu himself in only his base form. This was all thanks to his sort of unofficial rival, his third brother Lantro. Lantro's ungodly talent had made Vegeta push himself farther and farther, all in an effort to outstrip him. After achieving all this power he had begun to stagnate and become content, but with the reemergence of Lantro and the heights he achieved his drive and passion had been reignited.
How far will Vegeta go? Will he achieve the legend and become a Super Saiyan? Is this gag unfunny and really overdone? Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z!
