Setting up the Character

Suddenly the black is gone and I am in a white space with a desk and a hologram of me. "So far it's just as the government described it as" I say to myself. The government has been behind this project for a while with the huge advancement in technology there was no longer a need for a workforce so something to pass the time was needed. With all the fans of the books and show and with the West leading the project the fantasy setting of ASOIAF was chosen. There were a few reasons behind it the main one being that it is impossible for technology to advance in the world. That as well as a lot of other reasons like its popularity and dynasty management possibilities made it the chosen world. Obviously it would be somewhat diffrent but mainly similar.

On the paper was a quill and on the desk next to the paper was some ink. I picked it up and got ready for the setup.

The first question was house name as in the game all the people will be nobles obviously meaning a massive increase in the worlds peasants population as well abviously not everyone is an important noble some are family to one some are knigh houses and some are lords. I wanted a unique house name so after some consideration I went with what I ultimately thought was unique and cool. House Goldblood and for the banner I chose a field of white with gold cracks connecting to a golden man at the center.

Heritage could not be decided and depended on spinning a wheel and the story would fit in for a way for your appearance to fit. Some weren't possible like an Asian can't be in Westeros and a white man can't be in Yi Ti (land to the East for those who don't know) So I set down the quill and walked over to the wheel. I gave it a hard spin and watched it go. It slowed down pretty quick and stopped on the North. With that done I had to spin another for bloodline which once again had to do with appearance and other stuff. This spin filled me with anticipation and questions. If I got a westerlander heritage would I get the luck of the west or maybe the charisma. Maybe the Arryns and their horse riding. Finally it stopped and I got something that surprised me greatly but I realized I should have anticipated.

I got a mix of bloodlines a possibility that I didn't even properly think about because a notice on the paper about the bloodlines wheel is that bloodlines could only be passed on to the male lines. Sort of like CK2 I'm guessing. I guess though that's only for the players bloodlines. The three bloodlines I got were the Firstmen as well as the Valyrian dragon lords and finally the storm kings bloodline.

The paper explained as if sensing my question that the reason the storm kings bloodline is diffrent is it came from a specific house rather than an entire ethnicity. The only known benefit of the first men that wasn't greyed out was that they were more in tune with the land and magic of Westeros. The benefits not greyed out on the Valyrian Dragon Lords is enhanced charisma as well as enhanced fear from enemy's and finally a closer connection to those of Valyrian blood. The storm kings gave me enhanced magical prowess and the rest were also greyed out.

Once that was done it was time to spin the rank wheel. It was the most important as it based how hard you would have to work to get your family to rise in power as well as prestige.

This one I gave a quick spin and closed my eyes hoping it's something good. When I heard it stop my heart rate accelerated and I slowly opened my eyes. When I saw the result it felt like a mountain came off of me. It stopped on minor lord house. This means I will get a keep as well as a few villages which is a lot better than some of the others. Some were bastard houses which were houses from which both parents were nobles so you were recognized as a bastard and have a village to command. A knights house was slightly better than that you got the village as well as a small keep and were a knight in your lords court. The other options were there as well with some depending on luck like the relative of a noble house one.

You can be a cousin to your head of house all the way to a distant cousin with barely a connection. After the wheels disappeared I sat back down where a new page was. The question this time was what do you want your house words to be. With my family's military history and my love of it I chose the words Baatlefields run red not gold. A hint twords my enemies and other players that it will be their houses blood shed not mine in war. The next question was the type of house I wanna be. For the time period and where I'm located in the world I chose the obvious option some may fear war and chose intrigue focus or diplomacy but for me I chose military. Finally the world went black as there were no more questions then suddenly relight up again. It was another White room but this time the banner I created hanging in the background as well as a cauch with my sister sitting on it looking impatient.

"When did you finish" I asked her. "What do you mean finish I have been waiting her for a while nothing has happened yet no character creation or anything!" She yelled at me sounding very irritated. "1 calm down and 2 im sure there is a reason for it" suddenly a desk popped up in front of her with some papers on it. She picked one up and started reading it while I went and sat down next to her. "Is it your questions now?" I asked her curiously I only got a paper at a time. "No it's already placed me in a house?" she said sounding confused. "Here hand me that" I requested which she did while picking up another to read. When I looked at the paper I was surprised as it was the house that I just created. "So it placed you in my house already? You don't get to make your own?" I questioned. "No this paper explains it only men and only the head of households men are allowed to decide a house the others are automatically in it." She stated. "Oh that makes sense I guess can't imagine them accepting a women leading them into battle when any of them can easily beat her in a fight and the emotions and other problems for the date." I realized. "Yep, at least it's you and not uncle Leo who's head of house" she said. "I don't think uncle Leo is considered part of the household." I stated. "He has his own family is completely independent of the family and I'm from the eldest line so he may be considered a knight house under us I'm not sure how it works we will find out." I said.

"It says you need to sign in order to go into the game and that you are fine with the choices that had options, are you?" She asked me. "Yep I thought them through" I said while signing as soon as it was done everything went black again.
