YE JOON'S POV

I sighed and unlocked the door. I don't know what to call this feeling. Winter is gone. And summer is on its way. Spring is nowhere to be seen. Why am I feeling so calm today? Just after talking to her, I don't know what am I feeling. Who can answer me? I entered the home and saw my grandpa watching some type of drama. He looked at me and smiled. I went and hug him.

Hansol- what happened kiddo?

Ye Joon- I don't know. I am so confused right now.

Hansol- Tell me what happened?

I broke the hug and took a deep breath before bottling up my feelings.

Ye Joon- So let me be honest.

He nodded.

Ye Joon- I told you about Areum, right?

He nodded.

Ye Joon- She has been acting weird for 2 days. Distancing herself from me, always busy and she even started taking classes seriously while before she always used to sleep in class or tell me I should study hard when I never saw her in the library.

Hansol- isn't this good?

Ye Joon- It is. But this is not her. Before that she always used to annoy me.No matter where I go she finds me, without even telling she used to know what I want to say. But now...

I looked down.

Ye Joon- She is calm, acts maturely, and even today when we had a fight over Laira, I shouted at her.

Hansol- Why did you shout at her?

Ye Joon- She was Laira is using me and she will hurt me. She even threatened me that if Laira hurts me then she will destroy her. Like, I am really afraid of her you know. If she says something, then she will do any extant to keep her word.

Hansol- She seems promising also cares about you. If she is saying Laira will hurt you then why don't you avoid her.

Ye Joon- Laira isn't like this. She is pretty, kind, and down earthed. Her father owns the biggest jewel brand yet she behaves so well. Ahhhh, she even invited me to her birthday party and also asked me to sing for her at the party.. You know whenever I am around her, I become nervous.

Hansol- what about Areum?

Ye Joon- About her.. I never felt anything before these 2 days. She doesn't tag along with me all time, doesn't keep telling me how much she loves me, doesn't fight with anyone, doesn't; keep me telling about her weird business plans. Just a few words which seem deeper than the ocean. Like yesterday, she told me, she wants to be my 3 seasons. And today a while ago, I'll be the brightest star among thousands of stars.

I facepalm myself.

Hansol- You found her annoying but staying 2 days without her nonsense talks you find it hard.

I nodded.

Hansol- Are you sure you like Laira?

Hansol- What about Areum then? What do you feel around her?

Ye Joon- Comfortable, happy, and annoyed.

My grandpa shook his head and stood up and walk toward the kitchen.

Ye Joon- where are you going? why don't you help yourself?

Hansol- You will find your answer soon. If you like Laira or Love Areum?

Ye Joon- Love.. Areum.. No way. I WILL BE SINGLE MY WHOLE LIFE THAN HANDLING HER WEIRD AND ALIEN ASS.

NEXT DAY, KIM MANSION, 8 PM

I entered the mansion. The whole living room was decorated with expensive flowers and there were so many dishes. I looked around and found most of the people were wearing expansive clothes, and well dressed. While I am just wearing an old suit and pants with my glasses.

I looked around and found the students in my class. The boys were looking so handsome and elegant like princes. I felt self-conscious. I looked around to find Laira. I saw her wearing an expensive tight gown that was barely reaching her mid-thigh. I never saw her wearing this type of dress. It was like she was a different type of person. I saw her looking at me and she smirked. I don't know why but I have some weird feelings about tonight.

I saw she was walking toward me with a wine glass.

Laira- Hey Joon.

Ye Joon- h-hey. h-happy birthday. You look pretty tonight.

She laughed and put her hand around my neck.

Laira- Where is my gift?

I gave her a box of chocolate and she gave me a scoff.

Laira- Just chocolates. Are you serious?

Ye Joon- I just can afford this.

I said while looking down.

Laira laughed and clapped her hands and all attention on me.

Laira- EVERYONE LOOK AT THIS NERD, WHO HAS NO LOOKS, NO MONEY NOT EVEN TALENTED BUT HE LIKES ME AND GIVES ME THESE CHEAP CHOCOLATES.

She said and throw the chocolate box on me and all chocolates fall on the ground. Tears started coming out of my eyes. And I could hear laughter.

Laira started pushing me and I stumble and fall on the ground. And I saw her bending at my point. Tears were all over my face,

Laira- You are such a cry baby. Huh, you thought I'll like you. I MEAN A POOR AND USELESS BOY LIKE YOU.

I looked down and I remembered Areum's words. She was right. I should have been careful. Now, I just want to run away from here and cry my heart out. Suddenly I felt something watery and I saw Laira pouring wine on me.

Laira- This is what you deserve for liking and wanting something which is higher than you. I am a diamond while you are just a piece of coal.

She laughed and I heard guys and girls cheering for her. I stood up and was about to walk out when I felt on punch on my face. It was Soojin, the popular boy.

Soojin- hey nerd, I heard you can sing. Let us hear your duck voice.

Saying that he started laughing while I was in pain.

Laira- Yeah, come one, SING FOR US. NERD.

With that, she pours another glass of wine on me. I was crying so hard that I felt my head was spinning so bad. I hold my head as i felt a hard smake that I hit the ground.

Ye Joon- P-pl-please -leave m-me.

Soojin- this nerd is annoying..

With that he punched me on my stomach.

- WOW, I NEVER THOUGHT THAT THE PARTY WILL BE SO FUN.

I heard the voice which I was dying to hear at this point. I wore my glass and I saw Areum standing there with angry and cold eyes. She looked at me and her eyes soften for a while.

Ye Joon- a-are-areum.

She pushed everyone aside and reached me.

Laira- woah the trouble maker is also here. It will be fun.

She was about to say something but she said something that stopped her on track.

Areum- don't you dare to touch me or Ye Joon. OR else.

Soojin- or else what?

She stood up and gave them the coldest look ever. I saw the crowd was backing away from that place and Laira took a few step back.

Areum- Won't it be fun if the news go out that the princess of LA JEWEL and the nation's youngest successful model were found sleeping in the hotel room?

She smirked and I saw Soojin was about to slap her but she hold him and twisted his hand and throw him on the floor.

Soojin- HOW DARE YOU?

Areum- HOW DARE YOU TO TOUCH HIM AND PUNCH HIM AND INSULT HIM? IS IT FUN TO BULLY SOMEONE WHO CAN'T FIGHT BACK AND YOU ALL SPOILED RICH BRATS. who THE FUCK YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE. YOU ARE NO ONE WITHOUT YOUR PARENTS? IF TODAY YOUR COMPANY GOES DOWN YOU ALL WILL BE ON THE STREET? ARE YOU EVEN HUMAN HUH?

Laira- We are not interested in your lecture. You are saying this because you can't afford the money and power we have.

Areum- Then I promise I'll buy the empire your father made, I'll leave you on street. 2 years.

Laira scoffed.

Laira- You poor guys. it will take you three bloodlines to reach us.

Areum- 2 years from today. Laira Kim, you will be the reason for your parents' destruction. and you Mr. Lee Soojin

She bends down at his level and he looked at her with different eyes. I really don't see anger nor any type of resentment.

Areum- You have started your career as a nation's model. Your father is a great man, don't make him think that he didn't rise his son well when his wife died while saving his 3 years old son. Behave like a man not like a coward. Your mom won't be proud to see that her son bullies weak and poor people?

He looked down and bite his lips. Areum came and wipe off the blood coming out of my lips with her hand and smiled at me.

Areum- I am here.. let's go.

She helped me to stand up and we walked out of the mansion leaving an angry Laira and guilty Soojin.

KANG YOO SONG'S POV

I watched the whole thing on my iPad which happened at the party. I throw the iPad on the ground.

Yoo Song- HOW DARE THAT GIRL INSULT, MY SON? HOW DARE SHE INSULT HIS LOVE FOR HER?

Hansol- But that was a good thing.

I looked at my father who drank his tea.

Yoo Song-What do you mean?

Hansol- We got to know about Kim's real face and Ye Joon got to know the real face of that girl he likes and the true meaning of love.

Yoo Song- You mean that girl who helped him and fought for him. She seems so familiar but the light was deemed in the party.

Hansol- It's CEO OF YACJ FOODS.

Yoo Song- AREUM?

dad nodded and told me everything. I smiled hearing his words.

Hansol- Seems like there is someone who loves our Ye Joon because he is Ye Joon, not Kang Ye Joon. I think she is perfect for our boy

Yoo Song- I think so. But I won't leave those Kims.

Hansol- Calm down Yoo Song- ahh. Let's give Areum a chance.

Yoo Song- do you think she can buy the LA JEWEL EMPIRE in just 2 years?

Hansol- who knows?

Yoo Song- Dad don't you think you are being confident that she will keep her word.
