First step toward Dream

AREUM'S POV

I took a deep breath and entered the 27 story building with a racing heart. well, who won't have a racing heart when she is literally going to take the first step toward her dream. I called Yoo Han to know which floor I have to go to. It was 16th floor.

I knocked on the door and entered the room. I saw Yoo Han, Aria, Crystal, and Jaehum looking at him. I saw a man around 60 who must be Mr. Kang Hansol, the Chairman of the biggest investment company Kang Investment Group, another around 48 one was Mr. Kang Yoo Song, the CEO of Kang Investment Group, another one around 46 must be their advisor Kim Sara. I bowed at them.

Kang Hansol- You seem like 18.

I nodded.

Kang Yoo Song- why do you want to enter into the food business industry at such young age?

I chuckled at looked at him with confidence.

Areum- I challenged myself to do something which will be a revolution.

Those three laughed at my thoughts. I thought they were taking me as a kiddo with big dreams, but I kept my strong mindset.

Kim Sara- for how long you are working on this business plan?

Areum- 2 years

Kang Yoo Song- Why do you think we will invest in such a project which can cost us millions of losses?

Areum- if you don't try, you won't know. and the bigger the risk is, the chances of profit are higher. Also as you see our first step is opening a restaurant and then franchising it around the country and then the global market economy.

Kim Sara nodded.

Kim Sara- we'll ask you three questions. Give an honest answer.

I nodded.

Kang Hansol- Why did you name your company YACJ foods?

Areum- first word of 5 of our's names. Y for Yoo han who is the oldest among us. A for Aria and Areum, C for Crystal, and J for Jaehum.

They nodded.

Kang Yoo Song- Why do you want to hide as the CEO?

Areum- I am not the CEO. we are a team and they took me as a leader. and I think leaders don't need to be known by the world. As a leader, I have to work with them as partners, not as CEO.

Kim Sara seemed surprised by my answer and my teammates looked at me with admiration in their eyes. I just smiled. Yeah, i was honest that time.

Kim Sara- and Ms. Oh Areum, what's your vision for YACJ FOODs

Areum- the highest position in the food business industry,

Kang Yoo Song- In Asia ?

Areum- no. In the world.

when I said that Kang Hansol walked up toward me and stood in front of me while his hands were behind him. He put his hand on my head and I looked at him in shock.

Kang Hansol- Just 18 but full of passion.

Kim Sara- so, from when we can work together CEO OH.

I looked at them shocked and all four were shocked too.

Areum- thank you, thank you so much.

Yoo Han- we will give our 100 percent.

Aria- yeah.

Jaehum- we will try our best.

Crystal- Thanks for trusting us.

Kang Yoo Song- you guys deserve a risk... You guys will get investment from KANG INVESTMENT GROUP, and we will take 10 percent of the sale of a month.

Kim Sara- and about legal details our company lawyer will help you 5.

We bowed at them. I know from tomorrow, things won't be the same anymore. I'll be not only the CEO OF YACJ also a college student.

YE JOON'S POV

I looked at my watch it was 6 pm. I packed my bag and walked out of the school building. Oh god, why it's snowing again. I was about to take out my umbrella, I saw a car stopping in front of me. The car glass rolled down and I saw Laira sitting inside the car. she smiled at me.

Laira- hey, are you going home?

Ye Joon- yeah.

Laira- come inside, I'll drop you. it's snowing anyway.

Ye Joon- no it's ok.

Laira- oh come on Joon, please

she called me Joon. WOWOWOWO. I THINK GOD IS FINALLY GOING TO GIVE ME SOME DOSE OF HAPPINESS.

she smiled and her driver opened the car door for me. I went inside. the car was really lavish.... she is really rich after all her father is the owner of the biggest jewelry brand LA JEWEL. I looked around the car and the driver asked me about my address and I gave him my address.

Laira- so Joon, what were you doing in the library till late ?

Ye Joon- oh we have an exam two months later, I am preparing for it.

Laira gave me a surprised look.

Laira- you are preparing for the exam 2 months before. why ? I just start studying 10 days before the exam.

Ye Joon- really, that-

I was about to say something when my phone started ringing. I looked at the id and it was Areum. Laira looked at my phone.

Laira- '' ALIEN'' who is this ?

Ye Joon- best friend.

well, I called Areum my best friend, why? I don't know, maybe I just wanted to..

Laira- do you have any friends? cause I always see you alone or with the troublemaker ?

Ye Joon- Troublemaker?

Laira- that girl who always ditches classes and gets into fights with guys yet teachers never tell her anything. cause she is able to score good marks. I wonder how? I never saw her taking classes, not even in the library.

Ye Joon- about that, she is interested in business. maybe that's why?

Laira- is that s-?

And my phone ringed again. I looked at Laira and she told me to answer the call.

Ye Joon- what happened?

Areum- WHere are you? I am standing in front of the library building.

Ye Joon- what are you doing there?

Areum- I have to tell you something

Ye Joon- Laira is giving me a ride home.

she said nothing for a while, which wasn't normal. well, this girl isn't normal herself.

Areum- is that so?

i was about to say something when I heard someone behind her.

- YEAH. AREUM, YOU WILL CATCH A COLD IF YOU KEEP STANDING IN THE SNOW.

Areum- shut up Han.

- whatever.

Ye Joon- what you want to say?

Areum- oh that,

Laira- Joon, is it right or left side?

Ye Joon- I'll take it to you later.

Areum- wait

Ye Joon- what ?

I said in an annoyed voice..

Areum- I made some cookies for you.

I was about to say something but Laira took my phone.

Laira- listen please talk to him later..

With that, she cut the call.

Laira- I am sorry but I just wanted to know you better but you are on phone for a while..

Ye Joon- It's ok. I'll talk later.

I smiled at her and took my phone.

LAIRA'S POV

this dude is really dumb. it will be fun to play with him.. just 3 days.. hahaha

MEANWHILE AREUM'S POV

I let out a sigh and looked at the cookie box in my hand. I wanted to treat him with my handmade butter cookie.

Yoo Han- what happened?

Areum- he left with his crush, the popular girl Laira Kim

Yoo Han- daughter of LA JEWELS.

I nodded and he started laughing.

Yoo Han- girl you have no chance then. I have heard that Laira Kim is really pretty, talented, and sexy. unlike you who don't even wear clothes properly. always oversized and sneaker.

Areum- I just love the way I am. and you know I am not free like that spoiled brat. I have to work hard and now we all will need to work harder.

Yoo Han- true. now as your lover isn't here, we should go now. remember we are having our first successful dinner. also, we have to rent a shop, buy ingredients and decorations, it'll take time.

I nodded.

Yoo han- we have to stand on their first three conditions for further investment. 1. opening shop in 34 days. 2. at least 126 serving in first 3 days. and 3. achieving break-even point in 3 months.

Areum- for all these at first we need an influencer, but how will we get one?

Yoo Han- don't worry, my sister is ready and she has more than 408k followers.
