10 The Chosen One

In The Empire, Salima.

A boy was sitting in a dark room sitting on a bed in the fetal position. He was constantly muttering words to himself as if he was having a conversation with something. The voices were constantly telling him to destroy everything around him. That it was all "that person's" fault and that he was here in this room room because of "him".

Soon the boy couldn't take it anymore. "STOP! Why are you doing this? I, I cant anymore!" Tears began to fall down his face as he tried and tried to hold them back while his scream was still echoing in the room.

Then there was silence before a voice said, "Why am I doing this? Because you are the chosen one. You are the one who is going to destroy "him" and become the hero of all."

The boy lifted his head from his knees and looked into the empty space. "Really? Am I really the... chosen one?"

The voice smiled and said, "Yes. You are the chosen one Luciel. And if you accept my proposition you will be able to not only destroy "him" but also all of "them"."

Luciel was silent for a few minutes and then he answered with a shaky voice, "Yes. I want your power. I want to, to... destroy them… all." His eyes became on focused and then he just sat there and stared silently at the empty space before him.

The voice smiled even more. "Good. You are going to become strong now. So kill them all and make a river of blood. Because that is the path of the chosen one. Always remember this." Then a black misty orb appeared in front of Luciel and entered his body.

For a few seconds there was no change. But suddenly the air around him became dark and a wicked smile appeared on his face. He got off the bed and looked at his right hand. Then dense purple lighting began to surround it.

"Finally, finally I have the power to kill them all. To slaughter all those who opposed me and take back what was rightfully mine and make a river of their blood! HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

In an unknown location.

I opened my eyes and I was breathing hard while scared of the possibility that I was a soul magician. Tiff saw the expression I had and immediately rushed over to look at me and see if I was alright.

"Are you alright Kalum? Is something wrong? Are you hurt?" She was in a panic as she floated around me and looked for any possible injuries.

I was silent for a second before I asked, "Tiff, am I a soul magician?"

Tiff became completely silent and still. Then she responded, "Why?"

"I, I can see these blue fires in side of beasts and humans. And when I entered to look at my soul I saw..."

"A blue fire." She finished and I nodded in response. "Alright. This does not mean that you are a soul magician. This means you have two primary elements. One of nature and one of life. That is actually quite incredible."

"Life? You mean that I am not..."

"No. You are not destined to go down either the forbidden or holy path. If you truly were a soul magician you would be able to see souls themselves and speak to them. What you see is the flame of life."

After that she suddenly grew to a normal human girl's size and hugged me between her two gigantic... I mean I was hugged by her so hard I almost suffocated but it was... nice. Like I could relax in her embrace as I slowly fell asleep again with a smile on my face.

In The Empire, Salima.

A boy stood atop the highest tower of the palace with a slight smirk on his face as he watched beasts of lighting swoop down from the skies and slaughter the citizens of the capital while the streets gradually were filled with blood.

Then a booming voice was heard. "LUCIEL!!! How dare you do this to our capital, to our country, and lastly to me, your father!" A man with long white hair appeared who had wrinkles all over his face.

Luciel chuckled at his father's words. Then he looked at him with a smile akin to the devil's. "Oh? A little rabbit has come along and is trying to stop me. How cute." Then he snapped his fingers and four gigantic purple lightning bolts shot down from the sky and hit the old man.
