The fox watched the young maiden stopping in front of him with a big smile. The animal Prince had never seen someone this beautiful in its little life. It had been standing there waiting for the one who would break his curse. The prophecy about him was specific and clear; it simply had to follow it.
When a gentle young lad walked the forest and didn't harm him, he would be then freed by his own hands. The fox had simply to wait for the little man but the beauty in front of him was too pure and too innocent in his eyes. There was an old castle in the woods, which stood in the middle of a hidden clearing and in that castle lived a fairy. She liked beautiful maidens so she took them to be her birds.
Aurora stopped in front of the fox and calmed herself down. She promised herself she would deal with the others later.
"Mister fox," she said with a melodious voice. "May I know the path to the village please?"
"Are you lost, young maiden?"
