Chapter 32
There was no reason to be quiet. Selati didn’t try. He rustled through the tent, bumped up against their nest, ran his hands along the soft peaks on Aleledai’s tail. His All groaned out a whisper. Selati kneaded his fingers into supple scales. Amber eyes flashed in the faint light cast from the lamp on the table when they popped open.
“What is it?” Aleledai grumbled. The whole bednest shook as Aleledai shifted around until he was half on his side, closer to Selati.
“Ranaui is here for you and he says it’s urgent.” A grin pulled at his lips again, seeing Aleledai rumpled with sex and sleep. Pride made his heart feel like it was too big for his body to contain.
Aleledai rubbed an open palm over his eyes and crawled out of their nest, heavy body thumping on the dirt as his lower half came out of its coils. It always took a while for their blood to move once they first woke up. The air was a cold shock after the warmth of the nest. Human parts tended to function right out of sleep.
