Selati was his All. Down to his bones, down to his soul, Aleledai knew this.
Gathering the shards of his emotions, Aleledai bent to the task of cleaning up his outburst. 5
Three days after he left Aleledai’s bednest, covered in their shared pleasure, Selati still saw the wounded expression on Aleledai’s face when he closed his eyes. He felt terrible for the damage to one who treated him with nothing but kindness and respect.
It was only after, once he was cleaned and presentable, that he went to Bunici and Tahahi and asked why Aleledai was hurt by Selati. The stern lecture he received from his friends still made his heart clench. However, he refused to face Aleledai until he had made sense of his emotions. His lover was wonderful. Fear was the problem and Selati had no issue admitting that to himself or anyone who cared to know. Fifteen days since he was saved by Aleledai and he was sure he couldn’t handle a life with Aleledai lost to him.
