4 T'was not a Bat, T'was a Celestial

I woke up feeling groggy. I tried moving. I couldn't move my arms; I couldn't move my legs.

I panicked. Fear crept up my body.

I tried to calm down and remember what happened.

That's right. I can't move my arms and legs is because I don't have them.

I slowly started remembering the events that lead up till here.

The stabbing, meeting the cloaked Death God, reincarnating as a slime, and then the pain.

"Ah shit, what happened with that sun thingy?" I asked hurriedly, to which a cold female, robotic voice answered.

[It seems the energy sealed in the bubble was quite powerful. The assimilation process caused a lot of damage to the body. The energy absorbed by the body through the air, the plants and animals and the water healed the body as it was being destroyed]

"How long was the assimilation process, why can't I remember it?" I asked the Great Sage.

[The assimilation process took almost 2 years. I initiated the self-preservation protocol <Sleep Mode> to allow the body to ignore the pain caused by the process of destruction and reconstruction. The body has gone through that process 14,000,605 times. The energy has stabilised in the body for the time being. The assimilation process still continues at a controlled pace. The current assimilation progress is at 69%] replied the Great Sage in a monotone voice.

First of all, Nice. Second of all. Whatt????? I was sleeping for 2 whole years. And was that 14,000,605 times thing a coincidence or what.

It took me a while to calm down and understand what was just said. Apparently, by assimilating the energy and analysing it so far, I found out that the thing sealed inside the bubble was a piece of a Celestial.

Just one fucking arm.

Just that much was able to almost kill me.

Shit. I think this is why parents always tell their kids not to eat stuff you find laying around. It could kill you.

But it didn't.

My next emotion was pure ecstasy. I got the <energy manipulation> skill, with < indestructible armor 50%> and <celestial might 5%>

I think the % thing may be because I'm still absorbing it and that the part I ate was just one arm. Problem with this though was that I couldn't mimic a celestial. But I was in no hurry.

I looked around my surroundings and noticed that the whole cave has withered away. The once beautiful, 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' looking scene now looked like any ordinary cave. There were cracks all around the walls of the cave. Looking at these I could finally think of a way out.

Great Sage analysed the cracks passively with <Sonar> while I was busy absorbing the energy around me with <energy manipulation>. It was a real cheat. I could literally manipulate energy around me, allowing me to freely move around in the air, like flying. I could also do cool energy blasts from my body. It was awesome. It was a man's dream to someday be able to manipulate things with their minds, and I could do it.

While in the middle of celebrating my new cheat ability, Great Sage sounded in my mind.

[Crack leading to the surface discovered]

I went towards the one The Great Sage directed me too and squeezed my body through it. Having a body of a slime that could fit in anywhere was awesome.

I kept moving at a considerably fast pace, but it still took me 5 hours to see some light.

Rushing towards the opening and squeezing myself out, I saw it.

Vast mountains covered in snow, all around me.

"Where Am I?????"
