Slave Establishment

Flames roared in the sky challenging the moon for its light faded in front of the fury of the fire. Bella only offered a single glance to her life.. Life that she used to live.

She was dead now, the demoness witch that had haunted all the other witches for more than half  decade was gone. Would Ana be happy? Or Luhan.. Would he miss her?

They planned it would be better that no one would ever search for her and for that, she had to die!

"Do not tell Ana that I am going to live a different life." She had told Morgan, her stomach twisting into knots with the thought of her sister blaming her for abandoning her until Morgan laughed and told her Ana would not care.. No one would! Though she still acceded to her wishes.

What about her father? Did he know what she had accepted and what she was going to become? Witches only believed in having one lover for the lifetime but now she was going to give her innocence to a vampire as his plaything.

Now she was in a small carriage, the biggest luxury that witches hold. They were going to sell her but they had to make sure that only the vampire lord would buy her. But what if he did not?

What made the high priestess sure that he would come for her? For all, he could have all the beautiful girls in his arms and would not look back at her. Bella looked at herself in the window again.

She was wearing an old faded red dress which was torn around her knees. Perfect for a slave and an enticing one at that. It was showing a good part of her collarbones and bare legs to entice man but at the same time hiding all to make them carve for more.

Her face was clean and a little red for her lips. She was told she looked alluring but Bella was not sure. She had always been scorned. They told her that she was dirty. She could have been beautiful if she had those silver eyes.. But.. Bella shook her head. Now was not the time for but and ifs!

"From now on, you are a slave so show obedience. You have to a meek one to gain attention and make sure to follow the commands even if it meant hurting the witches around you.'' When her eyes snapped to Morgan, she gave a smile that unnerved the young girl. "They will test you. Though you have dark eyes, your silver hair will always put you in peril. You must not give them any chance to doubt you. Behave mute if you must, be their dagger if they want and drink blood if they ask you. You are going to be their slave who would work for us."

"..." Bella wanted to ask if the woman even understood what she was spouting? She wanted her to save witches by killing them! But the serenity in her eyes despite her words only left Bella in goosebumps.

"None of the witches know who you are, what your mission is and why you left us. They will only think you are a traitor and show pure hatred for you if they ever meet you, you must match their expressions." She ran her tongue over her dry lips, feeling the heat of the sun rising behind them or was it this woman?

"You are cruel!" Morgan laughed, bemused by the naivety of the girl. She was going to be a sacrificial lamb but she only realized it now, "they think that you love them, protect them but they mean nothing to you. Right?

Morgan blinked, it took her a second to realize that the girl was not worried about herself but other witches and she laughed, hard, cold and full of fury.

"It is to save them in the long run. Soldiers need to sacrifice for the lives of their nation. You must sacrifice for the life of your family. Do you want Ana to be one of those witches one day?" Bella closed her mouth shut.

She could not even imagine Ana being dragged like cattle by those vampires.

"Are we so weak against them?" Morgan shook her head.

"We are not collected while they make a fortification. Only you can break it." Reaching over, she pushed aside Bella's fringe to cup her cheek, "you will understand with time. But for now, be prepared we are going to reach the dark market."

The place looked completely different, desolate in the sunlight. She looked around but did not find any customer lurking around. How would she sell him to vampires?

"Vampires are not only cold and brutal but they are handsome, seductive and sensual. If you ever fall for any of them, kill yourself then and there." there was no mercy in the woman's voice.

"For they will seduce you to know your secrets. Everyone already hates you believing that you will be their ruin. You would not make their fears come true. Do you?" no! She would rather die.

The woman passed her a small ring unbefitting for a soon to be slave.

"It had a lethal poison. A poison that could kill everyone save the vampires. Drink it, it will not hurt you."

"Thank you!" What a strange thing to say to someone who was praying for her death but the woman smiled as if she was expecting it.

The door of the carriage soon opened and two dark men stood in front of her. They were strong, dangerous and cold. Bella instinctively shrunk back on her seat.

"Remember Bella, if you betrayed us, our souls will come haunting you. Our future depends on you.'' Then she nodded at the men who held her as if she was an object and dragged her into the dark building behind her.

When Bella turned, the carriage had already started and soon faded in the mist that shrouded the building with only two words written in bold letters,

"Slave Establishment."
