38. The true power of a peak Tier 1

Julius was unfazed as the creature caught wind of him and he finally ran forward with increased speed, covering himself in a layer of his golden aura which made him faster.

The bird made a loud horrific sound as if it was screaming out loud and Julius noticed it's features.

It has a straight beak and it's skin and feathers were yellow in colour and he could see the golden lines on its body.

Julius gripped his sword and then as he got close to the bird it suddenly flapped it's wings, backing off as a sword slashed at it's face from above.

Julius rolled out of the way and the bird's bright beam of condensed light blasted towards him. The tree which was behind got severed in two like it was cut by a blade.

And he could see the cut tree, the insides were charred black.

'I see. It's like fire, but much more brighter with a wider form.' Julius thought and then he struck forth with his sword, pouring his Mana into his sword.

A blast of light shot out of the sword and the bird dodged it making an explosion occur behind it.

In the novel, the way the void tower was explained was simply too amazing. And now that Julius was living the novel himself, being in the void tower was such an interesting experience.

Seeing the look on the gigantic bird, Julius didn't look scared but instead he was ready to face it once and for all.

He leapt forward with a grunt, putting all his mana and Aura into his sword and his body and then the bird took to the skies where Julius wouldn't be able to touch it.

Immediately it sensed danger, it immediately took to the skies where it was safe. Julius tried shooting beams of light at it but it simply dodged.

Julius went to find an isolated place to continue comprehending the light mystic codes.

In this world, mystic codes were the foundation of magic. Everything that has been born of magic all contains traces of these mystic codes.

He couldn't let his guard down as he only stared at the light shining upon him.

'The tower is indeed marvelous. Everyone has their own challenges and terrain based on their element, plus, our physical bodies are actually outside.' Julius thought in amazement.

Over the last thirty minutes Julius practiced that burst of light with his sword. He couldn't exactly grasp the hang of it but it was coming to him little by little.

'Argh, how was he able to do it?' Julius thought as he remembered Ray's battle with the tier 7 mountain falcon when they went to retrieve the stone of rebirth.

'Hm, I didn't exactly have magic back then when Ray used that sharp arc of flames, so I couldn't feel it at all. I think I should pass this stage and leave. Each floor has five stages, I wonder how the second stage would be.' Julius said as he walked out in the open and then he pulled out a metallic bow from thin air.

Three arrows rested on the quiver and then he shot all of them towards the bird, wrapping each with his aura.

One of the arrows managed to stab into the wing of the creature and it fell down to the ground before trying to remove the arrow with its beak.

He couldn't help but smile to himself as he dashed towards the bird with his blade out and with a smooth motion, he slashed the neck and the bird screeched as it struggled, his blade didn't go completely through!1

'What?! It's just a tier 1.' He was baffled with its endurance and he pulled out his sword and wrapped it in even more aura before cleaving the head completely off.

'Well, it was described as such in the novel but to think it would actually be like this.'

Magical beasts were very strong and are always given a tier and a rank.

'Tier 1 monsters can only be handled by novice 2 warriors or mages and tier 2 can only be handled by novice 6 and above gladiators. It gets serious at Tier 8 which can only be handled by a Transcendent level Gladiator.' Julius thought and then he looked back to where he came from and saw a hole which could fit him made of dark ess and he went over to it.

If he was to stay here any longer then the space would automatically go to the second stage and he didn't know what he would face in that stage yet.

He felt himself being pushed and then he frowned as he got thrown out of the tower, he rolled on the ground and stood up before dusting his clothes.

Not even hearing a sound, Julius looked around and saw that everyone there was looking at him and he chuckled lightly before making his best back to the dorm areas.

He firstly went over to the pet training grounds which was also in the map and then upon getting to a dark meadow he called Aria telepathically and he saw a golden thing flying towards him and she landed on top of his shoulder before licking his face.

*"Brother! Brother! Brother!"* Aria got excited and Julius only smiled before ordering her to return to her original form.

After that, she clung in his shoulders and hugged his neck tightly. The both of them made their way towards the dorm and that was when, In the distance, Julius saw Maru within a gym space wielding a long staff and he spun it around.

His movement and striking patterns were very impressive and then Julius could only strare at the impressive spear play and he was mesmerized.

"Let's go check it out Aria," Julius said as he diverted and went towards this gym building which was quite far away and soon they go to the place.

He opened the door to see Maru there and he raised his brow as he saw Maru had disfigured and innocent punching bag.

"Ah, prince Julius." The boy smiled and then he stopped and looked at Julius.

Julius saw that his fists were tied with a cloth and then he didn't hesitate to say what he wanted.

"Would you mind showing me that movement with the spear again?" Julius asked and Maru was shocked as he was seen.
