Chapter 38: The Walk
To Micah’s great relief, the afternoon in Central Park went off without a hitch. He doubted that the Rogue One would make an appearance during the day, but it still made him uneasy. Even if Rory remembered being bitten by the wolf, she still had no knowledge of the Red Bond she shared with the Shifter.
While he felt her nerves in certain parts of the park, specifically in less trafficked areas, he knew she was more nervous about Jared or Rachel getting bitten. She had no idea that the only one at risk was her.
He wondered if she might also be nervous of him shifting again, and although he didn’t sense that she was afraid of him, he imagined her explaining to Rachel and Jared that the guy she liked could transform into a wolf.
