A little shock

I head back into the dorm shaking off the weird feeling that he is right. Don't listen to him Saph, when would you ever get the chance to see him again? "Argh." I flop onto the bed "Saph are you ok?" Jas looks at me quizzically, "I'm fine or I will be after a nap and some food." "Don't you have to study for that test your professor gave your class? Even Feifei has her head in the book." I turn to see Feifei surrounded by books and with one hand in a chip bag. "You're right." I hop down and get to it, gotta maintain those grades you know.

In the Principles office, "Mr Zhang it's an honour to meet you." The principle shakes his hand before the business teachers do the same "So have any of our great students caught your eye?" "You could say that, however I think it would be better if we pick the candidates based on the results of the test that was set for later this week." He looks at the business teachers "Are you sure, it's just the start of term and we can't really get an accurate gage from the first test as many will improve later." One of them doubts "I think it is a fine method." The principle steps in not wanting to offend the devil himself "Good, then it's settled I will take the top 3 highest ranking students to work as part time interns."

Test day, "Well that was exhausting." I yawn while walking out of the room "Tell me about it I was falling asleep while still writing." Feifei complains "At least it's over with, they post the results tomorrow right?" I ask "Yeah on the bulletin board" she points across the hall," 9:30am." She continues to make a b line straight to the cafeteria. "What am I supposed to do with her" I sigh to myself.

The dorm,"Xinxin, Feifei how did your test go?" Liv asks while applying her make up for probably the fifth time today, "I think it went well, Feifei?" "Let's just wait and see." She nervously laughs at us. "Where's Jas?" I wonder "She is busier this year trying to gain job interviews and experience so we won't really see her." Liv explains "I guess so, I'll miss her being around all the time, oh well bed time!" I exclaim as I wriggle my way under the duvet "Night girls!" "Night!"

The next morning "Oh I think I forgot my pen back at the dorm...." "Oh no you don't." I cut Feifei off as she tries to escape her results "let's just go see, you might have done better than you think." "There's no chance of that." She mutters under her breath as I drag her to the post. Let's see.... "Feifei you ranked 8th that's really good, well done!" She looks up shocked "Reallly?" She looks at the list and is relived "What about you?" "1st of course." "Yey, you did it, we should celebrate tonight!" "Calm down its only a class test, no real importance." "I bet you that Arron kid is p*ssed." Feifei laughs "Who?" "Arron Miller, 2nd place and prides himself on his amazing grades, he will not be happy to see that he wasn't 1st." She continues as we turn around there stands a guy tall, slight tan, brown hair and blue eyes. "Pssttttt, Xinxin that's Arron." She whispers "Oh." I say stepping forward "Stop." He says suddenly "Are you talking to us?" I ask looking over," Is there anyone else here?" He snips "What is it?" I retort coolly "You're Saph right?" "Yup, what's it to you?" "Ok Saph I see how it is, watch out next time you won't be top of the class." "Ok." I turn to leave again with Feifei "That's it, ok?" He shouts all of a sudden "What else am I supposed to say?" "How can someone who doesn't even care about their grades have the top grade, how?" "That's where you're wrong I do care just don't make a huge scene about it like some people." This time I grab Feifei's arm and walk away swiftly, what an annoyance.

After class we buy a bunch of snacks for the dorm and gather the girls to celebrate a great start to our year "Mmmm these are so good!" We look at Liv as she has practically turned into Feifei at this moment "What it really is, right Feifei?" "Yup." She says spitting crumbs everywhere "Gross, you better clean that up!" Jas scolds. "So I heard the top 3 students from the test are the ones who get to intern at Man Consult Inc meaning our Xinxin will get to go." "Isn't that Mr Zhang's company?" Liv asks "What!?" I scream panicked "Yup that's right, Xinxin congrats! You get to work for one of the most successful business men in the country." Feifei jumps at me happily. No no no no no no no.
