A Shadow's Reincarnation

DEAD DEAD DEAD! STOP ADDING THIS TO YOUR LIBRARIES! ___________________________________________________________________ On a certain train sat a certain boy, with average looks. He had his eyes closed as he dozed off while hugging his bag. Earphones were plugged into his ears, silently listening to the music. Just then, the heavy bass music he was listening to suddenly became heavenly zither music that contained the truths of the Heavenly Dao. The boy’s heartbeat followed the loose rhythm of the heavenly tune for a straight minute before having been jolted awake. When the boy's eyelids fluttered open, it was as if the people on the train heard angels weeping and devils laughing. The Heavens shook in fear whereas the Underworld rumbled with joy. As for this boy’s origin, not even the gods & devils dare find out. _____________________________________ Disclaimers: - Ai pic till I can afford to commission an artist. - This is the 2nd continuation of my Magic Martial World series. - It's paused until I finish my diploma this June 2024. _____________________________________ Discord: https://discord.gg/R7nmUAqm

Infamous Grin

A long pause soon followed between the elders of the Nine Martial Alliance and Blake and his comrades.

The Nine Martial Alliance elders stared at Blake with pale faces and sweaty backs, while Blake awaited the old men's answers with a wide grin.

His clear and focused gaze, on the other hand, made his friends tilt their heads in confusion.

Did it make sense if an unpredictable person like Blake would have a clear and focused gaze? No. Nobody who knew Blake personally would believe this.

But what if it happened in front of them? The Blake that sat in front of the elders of Nine Martial Alliance was clearly focused.

His eyes have never once looked away from the old men. He was practically pressuring the old men to answer him with just his stare alone.

That was fine if Blake was a focused person to begin with.

But that grin on his face represented the unpredictability of his character.

It was that same grin that Blake wore as he massacred countless Martial Angels and Magic Saints with his Executioner Blade.

In fact, the surviving Heaven's Path researchers produced images of Blake's grin for their Thousand Year Devil Records collection which sects around the world still use till this day to confront their inner demons and break through major realms in their cultivation.

So imagine the horror the elders of the Nine Martial Alliance felt when they realized who Blake truly was? They would piss themselves of course!

No one knew at the time, but a foul stench soon emanated from one of the elders present, alarming the others that one of their brethren had pissed themselves out in the public.

"Haiz, there's a toilet at the end of the hall over there. Couldn't you wait a while longer until you reached the toilet? Ugh, you just dirtied my rug. Amelia just bought that for the community hall too." Blake looked at the elder who pissed himself coldly, his powerful aura was slowly leaking out of him.

As for his friends, Zack, Amelia and Willford watched on with bated breath. Their body tensed up, while their breathing rate increased by twofold.

Just being able to watch this kind of mental battle gave the three kids feel excitement like never before.

"This…Blake's going to blow and kill those old men, right?" [Zack]

"Hey, be respectful to your elders." [Amelia]

"Even if they pissed on your rug?" [Zack]

"...Ok yeah, those old men are dead." [Amelia]

"Should a girl like you be saying such vulgar words?" [Willford]

"Go back to staring at car engines, you gearhead." [Amelia]

"Alright, time's up! What are your answers?" With the clap of his hands, Blake pulled out an iron sword from thin air before he pointed the sword at the old men.

"Wait wait wait…We are not ready yet! Give us more time–"

Swish! Swish!

Elder Namgung Li wasn't able to finish his sentence when he felt a stinging cold pain at the base of his neck.

Following that, Namgung Li immediately saw blood gushing out of his neck as his vision fell towards the floor.

Thud.

Elder Li of the Namgung Noble Family was thus cleanly decapitated by Blake with an iron sword. Reason: Blake was unsatisfied with Elder Li's answer.

"Next, you with the bald head. What's your answer?"

"You…You…I will put my honor as the current temple master of the Shaolin Temple to duke it out with you!" Elder Yong Wi of Nine Martial Alliance pointed at Blake and shouted.

But before he could even pull out his temple's greatest artifact, the Golden Mountain Bell, Elder Yong Wi felt a sharp pain at the top of his head before his body was split into two.

The remaining elders of the Nine Martial Alliance became horrified at the sight of this. Elder Yong Wi was the Nine Martial Alliance's strongest expert.

Who would expect that a peak Martial General as strong as Elder Yong Wi, who has lived for over a hundred years would die this easily.

Definitely not any of the elders that's for sure.

Besides, now that their strongest expert has died at the hands of an unknown brat, the remaining elders of the alliance could practically see themselves being put into coffins soon.

Moving on, as for the cause of Elder Yong Wi's death, even Blake couldn't help but raise an eyebrow while looking at the perpetrator, a purple edged katana.

The purple edged katana currently stood in the middle of the Shaolin Temple master's corpse. One could sense the immense pride it had for itself after having cut down a peak Martial General.

Upon closer inspection, one could see that the purple edged katana was spotless even though it had sliced through an entire human being.

Maybe it was because it had split Elder Yong Wi in a blink of an eye that the blood within the elder's body couldn't react to themselves separating from their blood friends in the other half of the body.

The purple edged katana was then able to avoid getting blood splattered onto its shiny body.

"You're Pride of the Seven Deadly Sins, right? Nice to meet you, I'm Blake Chaos. I'm not only the disciple of your creator, but I'm also your new owner." Without missing a beat, Blake started to converse with the katana called Pride.

And yes, although it was pretty weird for a boy to talk to a katana, everyone in the community hall was already stunned by the fact that the same katana had killed a Martial General that easily.

It was a Martial General that could break mountains with their bare fists, for god's sake!

Nonetheless, the two unfazed by the entire event continued their talk with each other till everyone came to their senses.

After a while, Blake reached out to touch the purple edged katana's handle. "Cool. We're friends now."

The purple edged katana called Pride lightly hummed in reply. Elation being evident in its vibrations.

"Now then…Will you guys be able to answer my question?" Holding Pride in hands, Blake revealed his infamous grin to the elders of the Nine Martial Alliance once more.

Imagine waking up early in the morning to operate on someone's scrotum. Yeah, I feel bad that the surgeon had to look at my balls first thing in the morning on Thursday.
