A Shadow's Reincarnation

DEAD DEAD DEAD! STOP ADDING THIS TO YOUR LIBRARIES! ___________________________________________________________________ On a certain train sat a certain boy, with average looks. He had his eyes closed as he dozed off while hugging his bag. Earphones were plugged into his ears, silently listening to the music. Just then, the heavy bass music he was listening to suddenly became heavenly zither music that contained the truths of the Heavenly Dao. The boy’s heartbeat followed the loose rhythm of the heavenly tune for a straight minute before having been jolted awake. When the boy's eyelids fluttered open, it was as if the people on the train heard angels weeping and devils laughing. The Heavens shook in fear whereas the Underworld rumbled with joy. As for this boy’s origin, not even the gods & devils dare find out. _____________________________________ Disclaimers: - Ai pic till I can afford to commission an artist. - This is the 2nd continuation of my Magic Martial World series. - It's paused until I finish my diploma this June 2024. _____________________________________ Discord: https://discord.gg/R7nmUAqm

Blaze Immortal

Shinjuku City, Derako Family Branch Estate

Blake stood outside of the family's estate for a good 20 minutes before proceeding to make his move. Two ginormous doors which were 8 meters tall towered over Blake intimidatingly.

"Man, does the Derako family have to have such tall doors?? Wha...What's the use?? Does it keep you safe?? Can it protect you from me?? No, I don't think so!!" Blake thought aloud while mana slowly circulated from his body into his right hand, covering his hand in thick magical energy.

Blake strode over to the door and pushed it softly. To be honest, it was more of a tap onto the smooth surface of the thick metal door. In a split second, the door groaned and creaked as it slowly fell backwards, slamming itself onto the ground. A crater was formed on the 5 centimeter thick steel door where Blake had previously tapped. Now this was the true strength of a cultivator! A magic one at that!

Even though Blake was only at Rank 1, he was still stronger than most normal cultivators. And with the help of body enhancement magic coupled with a basic martial art, [Shock Palm]...He could even take on Yuan Ying masters of the at most the middle stages if he wanted to.

When the dust settled, Blake then proceeded to waltz into the estate without putting up any guard against anything. In all honesty, there was actually no need to. If he can already defeat Gold Core peak experts when he was just at Soldier realm, what can mere mortals do to him when he has reached Magic Practitioner I??

After taking about 5 to 6 turns through the long corridors, Blake finally reached a circular room 30 meters in diameter. There were no windows nor any natural light that could be seen from where Blake was standing, meaning that the room was sealed tight with no means of escape, unless the person was capable of blowing a hole through their extra thick walls. Coffee tables were lined up on either side of the room, a cup of coffee was placed on every table.

At the end of the room, sat a youngster about 18 years old. He had fiery hair, fiery eyes and a smile so hot it could probably burn one's soul away. The youngster was doing air guitars while he listened to Mello Music .Of course, Blake treated him like air and proceeded to take a sip of coffee from one of the coffee tables. He couldn't let perfectly good coffee go to waste.

But as he got close to the coffee table, he banged into something invisible. The scene of the empty coffee tables wavered when Blake walked right into it. It was an illusion barrier!

'Damn it! And here I thought I could drink coffee for free...Who in tarnation would put an illusion barrier in their own family hall??' [Blake]

Blake was stupefied at the family's common sense. He glanced at the youngster once more before proceeding to place his hand on the barrier and used a shock palm. Waves and waves of magical energy were released from the palm of his hand to the barrier, slowly vibrating the surface, causing the surface to ripple then shattering into a million sparks of light.

What happened next left Blake stupefied again.

When he shattered the barrier, he saw a group of people huddling together, shotguns in hand, looking very terrified at Blake. Before Blake could figure out what had happened, the fiery youngster took off his headphones and got out of his chair. A smug smile had formed on the youngster's face as he walked down the steps, slowly walking towards the group of people while also disregarding Blake's presence.

"Well...Well...Well...Thought you were so smart to erect a barrier to protect thyselves huh? Thought that just because I, the almighty Blaze Immortal couldn't break it means that no one else could as well, huh?? Well, guess what! You were too narrow minded to ever expect a kid breaking your high level barrier with simple touch!! Wait a minute...A kid??" The youngster slowly started to form doubt in his eyes as he turned to look at Blake.

"Uhm...Who are you? And how did you get in here?" The youngster asked.

Blake was equally shocked at the guy's statement. This guy was...an Immortal?!

"Hey brat! I'm speaking to you!" the young Immortal rudely interjected Blake's thoughts as he transformed his headphones into a sword of light. He then proceeded to slash at Blake.

But before that happened, Blake reflexively took five steps back, releasing his aura while taking on his battle stance. His halberd had also formed into existence.

The Blaze Immortal was taken aback by Blake's reflexes and aura. 'A kid should not have an aura that strong! Damn it, it's even making me shiver with fear! Just who is this kid?' He thought to himself.

They both stared at each other, waiting for who makes the first move.

"Hey, let's talk about thi..." The Blaze Immortal suddenly lowered his guard and tried to talk his way out with Blake. Horrible choice.

Blake immediately charged at him when the young Immortal dropped his guard slightly. Blake slashed at the young Immortal with full force, not leaving any time for the Immortal to counterattack, much less regain his bearings on what just happened. Blake had used a spiritual attack called [Mind Hitch].

It causes a tiny disturbance in the enemy's Spiritual Sea, numbing the enemy's line of thought, just strong enough for the enemy to lower his guard. It wasn't a strong spiritual attack but with the right timing, it was actually quite deadly.

"Clang!" Halberd meets sword. Blake had underestimated his opponent's abilities. He was an almighty Immortal after all! It wasn't going to be easy for Blake, nor for his opponent.

Yes, just taking my time releasing these chapters...
