Ch-3

[ 6 Years later ]

Its been 10 years or you could say a decade since I have been reborn, I have now reached a length of 5.5 meters.

This is the length most king cobras reach that we do know off Although many have surpassed this length. Its said that king cobras could live upto 20 years and if that is correct then im already middle aged.

Over the years I encountered some other snakes that were usually smaller then me and very easily devoured since the main prey of king cobras is other snakes. I also encountered some other king cobras as well probably my siblings. They were eaten as well, you may think its cruel but its a snake eat snake world out here.

I also discovered that the bigger I get the more I eat but time intervals between feedings gets longer. The temperature in this forest is mild and the weather is same throughout the year. This environment is perfect for reptiles like me.

I have seen lizards that could rival tigers in length and iguanas that walk on two legs like godzilla but they stood around 2 feet in length not including the tail and not very intelligent either.

I have not seen any other monstrous creatures like that goliath but atleast now I know they exist. My territory is quite safe as there aren't any large creaturea around except monkey that are the size of chimps.

And with my size birds don't try to attack me anymore well most of them don't, the once that do become my sustanence.

[ 8 Years Later]

Finally I have turned 18 now I can date all the hot and slender snake ladies and make some snake babies.

Ofcourse I won't do that since snakes don't care much about romance but king cobras and other very few species of snake do construct nests and watch over their nest and hatchlings for some time.

I have also reached a length of 8 meters and I am as wide as a reticulated python. I have reached the full potential of a king cobra can reach. Although I am larger now and can fend for myself much more efficiently i'm no longer as agile as I was used to.

I can no longer hunt smaller and more agile orey like mice, rats or rabbits.

My main source of sustainence are larger prey animals like antilope,deer and boar which I hunt through ambushing them on their grazing grounds. I burry myself in dirt and wait for any prey to walk by and then strike. Even if they escape, my venom usually kills them and I just swallow them later just like how komodo dragons on earth do. One bite and the venom will do the rest.

My scales have lost their luster and the time between my meals is growing longer and longer. Although I can still hunt as my venom takes care of the prey even if I don't stranngle them but now my concern is age. The maximum known lifespan of my specie is 20 years, im still health right now but I don't know how long I have left.

In these past 18 years all I have done is eating sleeping and growing. My nest is filled with my old shedded skins and now it simply cant accomodate me anymore. I left my old nest is search of a better place to live and eventually I found a river where a lot herd animals come so I made a nest near some man grove trees growing along the river which is hidden in plain sight and in water I am more agile then on land just like anacondas are.

[ 7 years later ]

I am 25 years old now and I have reached a length of 9 meters. In past years I have discovered all sort of aquatic life forms ranging from simple fishes to giants that reached 15 meters in length luckily for me those giant fishes have their territory further into the river.

I have out grown my limits and I don't think i'll be dying anytime soon and I still seem to be growing so though slowly but still growing nonetheless, I am indeed slower but due to my size I still cover ground quite efficiently. I have established my own territory within this river and other fishes do seem to understand this and one time one of the giant fishes decided to attack me but I sprayed my venom in the water which it swallowed, although the venom was quite diluted and didn't kill the giant Catfish it still got the message to stay away.

My vision seems to have improved as now I can seen upto 200 meters, just as I was about to return from my usual hunt with a swollen belly I picked up the same vibrations which I did all those years ago. This could only mean one thing Goliath.

I kept my body submerged and only poked out my head to see the commotion.

The same goliath was there standing menacinly near the shoreline although it seemed it had grown reaching 4.1 meters in length, clearly this means it hasn't reached its full size and is still growing. There were 3 smaller and younger Goliaths with him. One appeared to be a women who was also had a broad waist, large breasts covered with animal hides and stood around 3.5 meter tall. There were 2 smaller ones standing 2 meters tall bit these were boys. This was basically a family of Goliaths with all having red hair and extra digits, The biggest one had braided hair and a large majectic beard, the women seemed to be a bit hairy around her arms and legs but she would still pass as an average women. The boys also had full beards I don't know why I'm calling them boys but they seem like his children so its not that wrong and they we're also holding spears and seemed to be talking with their father in some sort of language.

Their father seemed to disagree with them and turned around signaled the rest to follow him and the he turned around I could see 2 half eaten naked men who just looked like average humans and were averagely sized hanging from a strap like clothing on his back.

I quickly left the area and went towards my nest. Not only there more Goliaths but they know how to craft crude weapons and also hunt humans. Atlest now I also know regular humans also exist in this world.

The Goliaths had markings over them which indicate that there is a whole tribe of these creatures and what I saw was only a small individual family of them. Its also clear that these creatures hunt humans. This time since I am much bigger then before the oppressive feeling wasn't as bad as before.

There is only one thing worse then a monster and that is a intelligent monster, I must avoid those beasts at all cost as not only they are big but can also use weapons, imagine if they craft a bow. I pray that I won't have to encounter them again.
