1 Chapter 1: Our First Day

As a typical morning routine might be, Zavier along with his brother and parents were enjoying breakfast together at the dining room. Even though everyone in the house seemed to have such a good time and full of laughter, Zavier's expression remained indifferent as usual. In fact, they were wondering why he never once flashed a smile in front of them. After all, it was very rare that he had ever put a smile on his face earlier, as his expression was always emotionless and nonchalant, not to mention when he was irritated or quick-tempered, he was going to glare with his eagle eyes to all the people nearby.

"Zavier, today is your first day at your new school, do you need Mom and Dad to go with you?" Zavier's mother, Zivanna, asked.

"No need, I'll go by myself now." Zavier replied and then abruptly got up from his chair. At the same time, he shook hands with his parents and left.

"Mom, Dad, well, then I shall go too... today is flag ceremony anyway." Zavier's elder brother, Revan, said goodbye to his parents afterwards.

"Alright, be careful ... don't go speeding on the road." Zivanna reminded his eldest son who was keen to go speeding on the road.

"Sure, Mom," said Revan while shook hands with his parents and then left for school.

"They're very different, aren't they?" said Zivanna to her husband, Rainer.

"Gosh! Do you just realize it? Even when they were babies, they were so different. Revan used to be crybaby, but Zavier was more composed." Rainer replied with a chuckle.

"Ah, well, yes, but dear ... about tonight, will he just take it lightly and listen to us?" Zivanna asked tentatively.

"I'm sure he will. He's a good child and obedient all this time." Rainer replied while gently stroking his beloved wife's hair.

"Yeah, I hope so," said Zivanna.

Britania Galaxy Senior High School was now extremely boisterous. It was the first day back to school after vacation at the end of academic year. Today, it also marked the promotion of tenth to eleventh grade students, and the eleventh to twelfth grade.

Masses of new tenth grade students were currently swarming in the court. By this time, Airyna was also promoted to eleventh grade. She was attempting to locate her name on the list of student names and classes. Once she got it, however, a group of junior female students nearby were muttering something under their breath and she definitely was not able to figure it out. After all, Airyna did not bother them at all, as she was adamant and getting used to it.

"Akhh ...." Airyna cried out with a grimace in pain when Luna, her tenth-grade friend, gave her braid hair a harsh pull.

"Why in the world are we supposed to be in the same class again?!" Luna said curtly and pulled Airyna's hair tighter.

"...." As usual, Airyna barely or never even responded to their disdainful comments.

"Geez… I'm so stupid ... why should I talk to you? You are dumb." Luna said while roughly released her hand off Airyna's hair and abruptly left.

The incident had obviously drawn the attention of some students. After all, Airyna then immediately rushed to her new class while keeping her head down.

Once she got in class, she decided to take a seat in the back row at the farthest corner. Even though she was sitting there, she was still able to listen and pay attention to the lesson. It was evident that she was not only the smartest student in her class, but also in her school. Unfortunately, when the school inquired her to take part in the Olympics to represent the school, she never wanted to. She always politely refused.

As the bell rang for flag ceremony, the students rushed out of the classroom into the court, as did Airyna. But once she left the class, unexpectedly Luna and her gang snatched the hat she was holding.

"Let me borrow it. You know, I left my hat at home. Anyway, it seems new, there are certainly no germs, right? Ok, bye," said Luna and then abruptly left.

As expected, Airyna was immediately sent to counseling and guidance room to take her punishment and had to stand in front of the room. Afterall, for students who did not bring hat or wear no complete school attributes, they should stand in front of the room to be recorded and take their punishment afterwards.

"Ryna, why are you here? You didn't bring a hat, did you?" Asked Mrs. Rita, counseling and guidance teacher.

"Yes, ma'am," Airyna replied with a respectful smile.

"Ah, Ryna, don't forget next time. Well, then I'll record your name and you'll have to take your punishment," said Mrs. Rita.

"Fine, ma'am," replied Airyna.

"Mrs. Rita! Look, this boy also doesn't bring a hat, you know… Moreover, he is a new student, Ma'am," argued one of the male students while dragging his friend and immediately pushed him to Mrs. Rita.

"Is that so? Well, then you go back to the court, let me deal with him," said Mrs. Rita, while the student went to the court for flag ceremony.

"So, you're a new student, aren't you? What's your name?" Mrs. Rita asked the boy with glasses.

"Zavi," he replied.

"Well, then Zavi and Ryna, you must clean up the library room as your punishment. There are many new books that we haven't had enough time to organize," said Mrs. Rita, while the two of them nodded back.

Without saying a word, Airyna went off to the library with Zavi following behind. Once arriving at the library, they instantly went in and started organizing the books scattered on the floor. While they were working together, neither of them said nothing. They were preoccupied with their own thoughts and activities. Airyna focused on arranging books on the shelf, while Zavi was sweeping the floor.

However, when Airyna was trying to put the biology book on the top shelf by climbing the ladder, it was unexpectedly broken. Certainly, she was shocked and slowly screamed as she was about to fall to the floor. She immediately shut her eyes tightly. But while she did so, she felt that her body was stretched out. She opened her eyes slowly and found that Zavi had caught her instantly before the falling. Airyna immediately lowered herself from his catch once she saw his sharp gaze on her hazel eyes.

"T—thanks." Airyna said while lowering her head in low voice.

"…." When there was no response, Airyna swiftly looked up and found that Zavi had swept back the floor. She was pensive for a moment, after which she also resumed her activities.
