"Mr. Kim, my client acknowledges his mistake. Here is a blank check—you can fill in any amount you deem appropriate. Mr. Do Kyung Shi is prepared to compensate you generously," Nam Hyu Jin, the lawyer representing Do Kyung Shi, said smoothly as he extended the envelope containing the check toward Min Jun.
Min Jun accepted the envelope, prompting a brief, triumphant smile to spread across the lawyer's face. But that smile quickly faltered when Min Jun spoke. "No amount of money will change my mother's condition. And for the record," he added, pulling a small recording device from his pocket, "I've recorded every word you just said."
Nam Hyu Jin's expression darkened, and he lunged to snatch the device, but Min Jun sidestepped, pushing the lawyer back with ease. "You picked the wrong person to negotiate with," Min Jun said coldly before turning on his heel and striding into the station, leaving the stunned lawyer behind.
