Teenage Memories V

Pete sighed as he drove his car, he did not know what to do, his life was ultimately ruined.

Pete could not believe what was going on right now, and he knew that he needed to focus on his life and what was happening right now, but his mind could not help but go to what Bermudez's plan was.

That idiot and his entire team would get many innocent children and teenagers killed.

Pete knew this kind of things, Bermudez was trying to do things how they would have back in his days, but that would not work right now, the criminal that they were dealing with was armed, severely armed, and that's why it was suggested that it would be best to go in undercover to catch him.

Pete knew that Miguel would not waste any time if he saw himself threatened, he would do whatever it took to stay free, and that included shedding innocent blood, which Pete could not watch to see happen.

He knew that this would end badly, and those two idiots Bermudez and Kent won't listen to him, as much as he wanted to stay out of this, he couldn't he knew that he had to go over there, and not just because of Natasha's safety, but the safety of the others as well.

"Lawson, you are going to get yourself killed" said Pete to himself as he pulled over on the side of the road and he turned back, if he was going back to the school, he needed some ammo, and his gun had been taken away, luckily, he had a spare one, back home, he just hoped that there was no one there right now.

Larry was on his way to Natasha's school when he suddenly passed by the building and he saw a lot of police officers and cars gathered there as well as some children and teachers as he quickly found parking spot as he got out of his car and he rushed to the school building as an officer stopped him.

"Sorry Sir, but you can't go in there" said an officer as Larry looked at him.

"And why not?" asked Larry as he could not understand why he would not be allowed to go anywhere.

"There is a criminal in there" said the officer as that made Larry even more panicked, he could not find Natasha anywhere, he could only fear that the worst had happened.

"But my daughter, I cannot find her anywhere, she must still be in there" said Larry.

"Sir, please calm down, we are trying our best to handle the situation" said the officer as Larry did not know if the man himself would understand what he was saying, there was a criminal in the school, and his daughter was still there, and he was telling him to calm down? How did that make sense?

The officer moved aside when he saw Bermudez signal him and Bermudez walked where Larry was.

"I am Captain Bermudez, in charge of his operation, and I assure you that we will get your daughter, and all the other children in there out safely" said Bermudez as Larry looked at him.

"You are Bermudez?" asked Larry as Bermudez nodded.

"Well I don't think that this is the right way to go about this, this is doing nothing but putting children in danger" said Larry as he sighed, he was sure that this was the Bermudez that Natasha had told him about.

"Sir, I understand your fears, many other parents are feeling the same way right now, but we are not putting them in danger, if anything, our presence here is keeping them alive" said Bermudez.

"And that is very reassuring, you should have never removed officer Lawson from the case, I doubt that any of this would have happened" said Larry as Bermudez frowned.

"Let me guess, you are the father of the girl who that idiot got involved in the case" said Bermudez.

"That I am, and I believe that you handled things the wrong way, if you allowed Officer Lawson continue on with the investigation, none of this would have happened" said Larry.

"Sir, you do know that blackmail is a federal offence, punishable by law right?" asked Bermudez.

"That I know, and I am not happy with my daughter for what she did" said Larry.

"That doesn't even matter, incompetence and stupidity is even worse than blackmail, your daughter is a minor, and the only one here to blame is Officer Lawson, heck he doesn't even deserve the officer title I fired him" said Bermudez.

"You should stay out this and let us do out job" said Bermudez as he turned around.

"Even though you doing your job in the wrong way which can lead to some grave consequences" said Larry as Bermudez ignored him.

"Mom" called Pete as he opened the front door of his house as he closed it behind him.

"Mom" called Pete once again as he received no reply.

"Captain" called Pete.

"Dad?" called Pete as still no reply which made him relieved, he was relieved that his parents did not seem to be here, but that only meant that he had a limited amount of time to get what he needed and get out of here.

Pete quickly rushed up into his room as he bent down and brought out a metal case under his bed, and he opened the case as he removed his spare gun, he got his ammo and put it in his gun holster, he quickly closed the case and put it back under his breath as he rushed out of his room to his parent's bedroom as he opened it and he searched in their closet until he bent down and checked under the bed as he was relieved that he found it here.

Pete pulled out a wooden board from underneath his parents bed that had guns stacked on top of it, but he knew better than to even dare take one of his father's gun's that was not what he was looking for at all, Pete lifted the wooden board as he found what he was looking for strapped underneath it as he pulled it and he brought out a bulletproof vest.

Pete quickly put on the bulletproof vest as he was ready and he put back the wooden board where he found it as he rushed out of the house back to his car.

Pete casually drove quickly past the school as he could see the many police officers and their cars, and he also caught sight of Bermudez who was speaking on the phone, as if he called it, he knew that this would happen, Miguel probably hostages and the hands of all the officers outside were tied.

Pete went around the block as he parked his car somewhere safe, he loaded his gun as he put the safety on and he ran in the direction of the school as he went through the side, he did not want to risk anyone seeing him.

Pete was on the right side of the school building where many pipes and wires were connected, but he could not see any emergency for him to enter through, but what he did see was a vent, and that gave him a good idea as he quickly removed the cover of the vent and he climbed into it, he had to find Miguel and fast, before he could cause any more damage.

Miguel paced up and down as he was thinking, he needed to find a way to let the police know his demands without loosing all his golden tickets, he looked at them as some of the girls were still sobbing silently.

Natasha was deep in her thoughts, she knew that her dad must have been worried for her by now, since he was coming to speak to the principal, and so far the police had made no attempt to rescue them at all.

Natasha knew that she had to get out of here, but she was not that crazy to try to play with an armed man. So all she could do was sit and wait for something to happen.

Pete moved through the vents as quietly as he could, he did not want to alert Miguel at all, while he was also looking for where Miguel had put his hostages.

Pete stopped moving for a moment when he closed his eyes and listened quietly when he heard the sounds of muffle sobs and he continued on in that direction when he saw an opening in the vent and he looked down at he saw Miguel armed and all the hostages.

"Natasha" called Pete in worry as he could not believe that she was part of them, this was just horrible.

Pete continued on to another opening in the vent as this time he was right above Natasha, he had to find some way to alert her right now.

Pete looked through his pockets as he found some papers which he carefully tore up and folded into balls as he threw them through the holes of the vent and they hit Natasha's head as Natasha looked up and she saw Pete's face through the vent's opening and she gasped silently in happiness as she carefully looked up.

Pete pointed down as Natasha could not understand what he was trying to tell her, she was confused and she pointed carefully to what she thought Pete was pointing at as he shook his head and Natasha knew that this would get them nowhere, she had to find a way out of here.

"Mr. Marvin" called Natasha as she raised her hand and Miguel looked at her as Mrs. Dawson tried to make her stay quiet.

"It's Miguel, and what do you want" said Miguel as he looked at her and Pete wondered what she was doing.

"Sorry Mr. Miguel but I need to pee, I cant hold it, please can I go to the bathroom" said Natasha boldly as Pete knew what she was trying to do, but he did not agree with her, it was too dangerous.

Miguel sighed as he knew that hostages were very annoying.

"How bad is it?" asked Miguel.

"Very bad, I don't want to end up peeing myself here, please can I go to the bathroom, please" said Natasha as Miguel scoffed and he pointed his gun at Mrs. Dawson.

"You take her to the bathroom and nowhere else, if you dare try to escape, I will kill off one of your student one by one, and don't test me, am I clear?" asked Miguel as Mrs. Dawson nodded.

"Does anyone else need to pee? Speak now or forever hold your pee?" asked Miguel as he laughed and the other's shook their head.

"Good, you two go and get back here as fast as possible or else" said Miguel as Mrs. Dawson nodded and Natasha followed after her as Pete walked in the direction of the bathrooms.

"Natasha please be quick" said Mrs. Dawson.

"Yes Mrs. Dawson" said Natasha as she nodded and she walked into the toilets as Mrs. Dawson stayed outside.

"Pete" called Natasha as she heard some noises in the roof as In that same moment Pete fell down swiftly from the vent in the bathroom.

"Natasha, what you did was dangerous" said Pete as Natasha looked at him.

"Well I didn't know what you were trying to say, so this is the next best thing" said Natasha as Pete agreed and he opened the taps in the sinks and he let them rush so Mrs. Dawson wouldn't hear anything for her own safety.

"What are the police doing?" asked Natasha.

"Nonsense, under the control of that goon Bermudez" said Pete as he sighed.

"How many of you are there?" asked Pete.

"15" replied Natasha as Pete was thinking.

"But isn't it too dangerous for you to come and rescue us all alone Pete?" asked Natasha.

"It is but I have to do it" said Pete.

"You have a gun?" asked Natasha as Pete nodded and he showed her his gun.

"What's the plan?" asked Natasha.

"I need you to distract Miguel for me, so I can get the advantage on him, and when I do that, you and everyone else have to run okay" said Pete.

"Can you do that for me?" asked Pete,

"Of course partner" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Aren't you scared?" asked Pete.

"I'm not, I know that you won't ever put me in danger" said Natasha as she smiled and Pete smiled at her.

"Alright go on now and wait for my signal" said Pete as Natasha nodded and he closed all the taps as she walked out of the bathroom.

Natasha was back in the classroom with everyone else as Pete just arrived at the vent as he nodded and she nodded.

"Mr. Miguel" called Natasha.

"What is it now Kid?" asked Miguel as he could swear to you that this girl as very annoying.

"Are you going to kill us?" asked Natasha as other girls cried and Pete moved to the second vent of the classroom.

"I might if you don't stop talking" said Miguel.

"But If you kill us all, then the police will shoot you" said Natasha as Mrs. Dawson begged for her to stop talking.

"Little girl those bastards out there don't stand a chance, not if I go out and start killing you all one by one in front of their eyes, if fact, let me show you a demonstration" said Miguel as he was walking towards Natasha and in the same moment Pete dropped from the celling as Miguel turned to look at him and Pete punched his face before he could react.

"Everyone run, go get out of here" shouted Pete as everyone ran except for Natasha who rushed to get Miguel's guns that he dropped as she kicked one of them very far away and she removed the bullets from the gun as Miguel got up and he punched Pete back as the two of them started to fight.

"Pete" called Natasha in worry as Pete kicked Miguel and that sent him flying as Natasha gasped.

"Natasha get out of here now" said Pete as Natasha was about to run when Miguel suddenly stood up, picked up his gun and rushed after Natasha as he pulled her hair and she cried out in pain as he held her close to him and pointed the gun at her head as Natasha struggled.

"I knew that they would send a cop, just didn't know that a little girl would be involved" said Miguel.

"Miguel your bastard let her go and face me like a man" said Pete as he looked serious but on the inside he as very scared, he did not want this to end badly.

"Not at all, the others might have ran away, but this beauty is even more valuable, you care for her don't you?" asked Miguel as he smiled.

"What do you want?" asked Pete.

"Simple, drop your gun, go out there, and tell those officer that I want 500k, nothing more, nothing less, if they don't get it, the girl's head gets blown off" said Miguel.

"No Pete don't listen to him, shoot him" said Natasha as Miguel strangled her neck and Pete could not bear to see her like this.

"Fine, let her go first" said Pete as Miguel laughed.

Bermudez rushed to the front door of the school when he saw Mrs. Dawson and the others rush out running.

"Natasha is still in there" said Mrs. Dawson as she panted.

"What happened, did Miguel let you go?" asked Bermudez as Mrs. Dawson nodded.

"No, an officer came out of nowhere and he's fighting with that guy" she said as Bermudez cursed under his breath.

"Lawson!" said Bermudez.

"Lawson and one more girl are in there with Miguel, Kent come with me" said Bermudez.

"Drop your gun, just like that" said Miguel as Pete dropped his gun.

"No Pete, don't do it, just shoot him" said Natasha as Miguel strangled her even more.

"I did it, now let her go" said Miguel as Natasha kicked his shin and that only made him angrier.

"Don't you dare come any closer" said Miguel as Pete stopped.

"And you this little devil, you are not worth it" said Miguel as he pulled back the trigger and Pete shouted no as nothing happened.

"What the hell??" asked Miguel as Pete wasted no time and he smashed his face and he took the gun from Miguel and hit the back of his head as Miguel was unconscious and Natasha coughed.

"Natasha are you okay?" asked Pete as he rushed to her and she nodded as she was relieved.

"I remove the bullets in the gun, that's why I told you too shoot, you should have trusted me partner" said Natasha as Pete sighed and he hugged her.

"You are crazy Natasha you know that" said Pete as he was relieved that she was okay, because if she had died, he would have blamed himself.

"You should trust me, I might be crazy, but I still think" said Natasha as she laughed.

"Thank God that you are okay" said Pete as the door of the classroom was kicked open.

"Police freeze" said Kent as he came in with his gun and he was surprised to see Miguel unconscious as he saw Pete and he sighed.

"Natasha" called Larry as he rushed into the classroom.

"Dad" called Natasha as she rushed to him and she hugged him.

"Are you alright, are you okay?" asked Larry.

"I'm fine dad, thanks to Pete" said Natasha as she smiled and Bermudez walked into the room.

"Lawson what did I tell you?" asked Bermudez as Pete sighed, he was going to get arrested now.

"Hey stop that you are unfair to him, he did what you and your several men could not do, he risked his life and saved all of us, if anything he deserves his job back" said Natasha as she sounded angry and she looked at Bermudez who ignored her.

"If you are really a captain, then you would recognize good work when you see it" said Larry.

"Right??" asked Natasha as she nodded.

"I don't have time for this, Kent cuff the man, Lawson follow me, your father will hear about this" said Bermudez as Pete followed after him and he shot Natasha a look that read "Everything will be fine" as she sighed, hoping that everything would be fine.
