Flashback From The Future V

"My Princess, finish eating breakfast, so we can go to your Grandmother's house, would you like that?" asked Lia as she sat down beside Joy and she smiled and Joy nodded her head.

"Alright then my princes, finish eating and go take a shower so we can go to your Grandmother's house" said Lia as she smiled and Joy nodded her head.

Lia sighed internally luckily it was Saturday today, Dom would have to call Joy's school and tell them that Joy would not be going to school for a few days, she could not go anywhere in this state, she had just lost her mother.

"Do you want me to pack your suitcase for you my princess?" asked Lia as she smiled, she felt like it was best if Joy was more around family at this time, and she was sure that Aunt Margaret would be able to make Joy feel better since all of them had failed.

Joy nodded her head and Lia smiled as she caressed Joy's hair.

"Alright then my princess" said Lia as she smiled and she stood up as she walked out of the dining room to go and pack Joy's suitcase.

"Yes… I will not go to the office for a few days" said Dom as he walked into the dining room with a mug in his hand as he had his phone in the other.

"Alright Sir, and may I know why?" asked the Secretary from the other side of the line.

"Personal issues" replied Dom as he sat down at the dining table.

"Just handle everything, put a hold on anything that requires my signature and take care of the rest" said Dom as he rubbed his temples.

"Alright Sir, I will do so, please take care" said the Secretary.

"Hmm" said Dom as he ended the call and he put his phone on the dining table as he closed his eyes and he took a deep sigh as he opened his eyes and he drank his coffee.

He did not usually drink coffee, but he was just so tired, and yet he could not sleep, so he needed some energy.

"My princess are you happy to go to your Grandmother's house?" asked Dom as he looked at Joy and he smiled as she nodded her head.

"That's good my princess, I am sure she will be happy to see you and spend time with you" said Dom as he smiled.

"Daddy, are you not coming with me?" asked Joy as she looked at her father.

"Ahh well yes I will my princess, but you can go with your Aunt Lia first… I need to take care of somethings and then I will come and see you" said Dom as he explained and he smiled.

"Okay daddy" said Joy.

"So are you done with breakfast?" asked Dom as he smiled and Joy nodded her head.

"May I be excused?" asked Joy.

"Of course you can my princess" said Dom as he smiled and Joy pulled out her chair as she walked out of the dining room, she was not happy at all and Dom could see that, but what could he do? He himself was still devasted.

Dom sighed as he rubbed his forehead, he just needed this stupid headache to stop, so he drank his coffee once more as he was deep in thought.

"Hey Dom" said Michael as he called out to Dom as he saw that Dom was about to enter his car.

"Michael" said Dom as he stopped and he turned to look at Michael, they were both dressed casually in jeans and a t-shirt, which was different from their usual suits.

"Where are Lia and Joy?" asked Michael as he looked around.

"At my mom's house, they left earlier" said Dom.

"I see" said Michael.

"And where are you going?" asked Michael.

"*Sigh* To Grandfather's house… I need to tell him…" said Dom as he sighed and he took a pause.

"I will go with you" said Michael.

"You will?" asked Dom in surprise.

"Of course… we cannot leave you to face him by yourself" said Michael as he sighed.

"Charlie and Nine are already there… they are waiting for us" said Michael.

"Thank you" said Dom as he smiled, he wondered what he would have done without his faithful friends, that were always there by his side to help him.

"Don't thank me… we are family" said Michael as he smiled and he opened the passenger seat as he entered the car and Dom smiled as he entered into his car and he started the car as they drove away.

"I don't understand why you two lazy boys will come here to lounge in my house and eat all my food in the name of visiting me" said Ernest as he scoffed as he looked at Charlie and Nine who were sitting down and eating breakfast with him.

"I don't get you Grandfather" said Charlie as he looked at Ernest.

"When we don't come and visit you blame us for being ingrates, and when we do, you call us lazy, food wasters" said Charlie as he sighed.

"Well… you don't do it often, so why would I believe you?" asked Ernest as Charlie shook his head and he stood up from the dining table.

"Just where do you think you are going?" asked Ernest.

"I am done eating" said Charlie.

"And so, where are you manners, you are suppose to ask to be excused first" said Ernest and Charlie took a deep breath as he calmed himself down, he was a grown man and yet he had to ask to be excused.

Charlie looked at Nine and Nine shot him a look that read "Just don't anger him"

"I am sorry Grandfather, forgive me" said Charlie as he forced a smile.

"May I be excused?" asked Charlie.

"That's better" said Ernest as he smiled.

"You may be excused" said Ernest as he smiled.

"Thank you Grandfather" said Charlie as he left the dining room before he was annoyed anymore.

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"I will get it" said Nine as he stood up and he walked out of the dining room.

"I wonder what these children are playing at" said Ernest to himself as he sighed and he just ate his food and a few moments later Dom and Michael walked into the dining room.

"Good Morning Grandfather" said Dom as he smiled.

"Good Morning Grandfather" said Michael.

"Ahh Good Morning Dominic, Michael" said Ernest as he smiled, this was a surprise, it would seem that everyone decided to come back home today.

"Do you want to eat breakfast?" asked Ernest as he smiled.

"No Grandfather… we ate before we came" said Dom.

"Ahh well then suite yourselves" said Ernest as he smiled and he drank his tea as he and he stood up as he walked out of the dining room to his office to rest as Dom and Michael along with Nine followed after him and Charlie walked into Grandfather's office.

"So what brings you here Dominic?" asked Ernest as he sat down on his armchair and he looked at the other who were still standing and they looked very serious.

"Grandfather… I need to tell you something" said Dom as he sighed, it was now or never.

"Alright… go on" said Ernest as he wondered why they all look so serious?

"Grandfather, first promise me you will relax… please" said Dom as he pleaded with his Grandfather.

"I don't make deals when I don't know what is at stake, you know that Dominic, now spit it out" said Ernest as he eyed Dom.

"Alright Grandfather" said Dom as he sighed.

"Good Morning Grandfather" said Lia as she walked into the room, surprising everyone as they turned to look at her.

"Ahh Cecilia, Good Morning" said Ernest as he smiled.

"Grandfather, have you eaten yet?" asked Lia as she smiled and she ignored everyone else's gazes.

"Yes I have" said Ernest as he smiled.

"And have you taken your medicine?" asked Lia as she smiled.

"Well not yet, Dominic and Michael came in before I could" said Ernest as he smiled and Lia turned to look at Dom and Michael as she shook her head slightly.

"Well Grandfather, take your medicine first, you cannot miss it" said Lia as she smiled and she did not wait at all as she walked to the cabinet in the office as she got a bottle of Pills and she poured a glass of water as she walked to Ernest and she gave him the glass of water as she gave him two pills and he took his pills as he drank the water as Lia took the glass of water from him and she placed it on the table and she looked at Dom and signaled for him to go on/

"Now, what is it that you want to tell me Dominic?" asked Ernest as he looked at Dom.

"Grandfather it's… it's about Natasha" said Dom as he decided to just come out with it already.
