Chapter 3: First glimpse of the real world

One year and eight months later:

Derrick or as he was called in his new world Dennis was growing chubby.

He hoped one day his parents would let him explore this new world because for now I seemed like the odds of that happening was clearly zero.

He knew his mom would have a heart attack if he ever dared mention it. Growing up his mom was overprotective,she locked nearly all the doors and windows possibly because she knew her son would crawl out someday.

She even went as far as fighting with another lady as soon as she noticed her son was trying to play with hers.

Being the loving mother she was she loved seeing him with books than with kids.

Dennis loved his mom and was really fond of her unlike the other villagers who dispised her because of her close bond with Dennis.

He was reading his book one day and as he turned the next chapter he noticed a sign. It was written in a language he didn't understand so he decided to have his mom translate it for him.

His mom seemed scared as she examined the book but quickly looked at Dennis with a concerned look.

"Where did you get this "

"Ga ga ga , la la la " Dennis replied and of course his mom could not understand him.

"Right, I'm a toddler, why do I always forget, I can't tell Mom that I used the ladder or else she'll break it, I guess I should stick with gibberish until I grow up." Dennis said in his mind as he secretly wanted to read the contents of the book which his mom seemed to disagree with.

Being a toddler was miserable especially for someone who had already lived the life before, all he had to do was wake up, eat make some advanced poop that he'd never clean and possibly sleep again, he only wanted to add some spice to his life by reading.

"Here have a cookie" his mom said trying her best to distract the little "kid".

As she waved the cookie in the air she realized he was not falling for her tricks, to her misfortune her "Kid" who had the mind of a thirty five year old had no intention of giving her the book.

"No!" Dennis yelled surprising his mom who still could not believe that he had talked.

"No?" She asked to confirm if her hearing was still good.

"No!" Dennis repeated as he tried to crawl away with the book in his hands.

"What the..., John our kid just said something"

"Really, what did he say "he asked clearly not interested.

"No!" she said trying to express her shock to her husband.

She narrated everything to him including how Dennis had crawled away with the forbidden book in his hands.

John laughed a little but as soon as he heard the forbidden book was with Dennis he stood still, he shook his head and in a minute he dashed away.
