Gift

Before the night, Shen and Vine reached back to the Corps, informing them about the scenario. At first, everyone was confused about the early arrival of Shen and Vine, but when Shen told the whole story, they understood the scenario. Hanji herself would go there after two days, along with Levi and Commander Pixis.

On the other side, in the base, Vine was busy in her room doing something when Shen knocks at her door.

"Come in!" Vine said.

"What are you so busy with, that you skipped your breakfast?" Shen asked.

"It must be Sasha, right?" Vine asked.

"She was just thinking about something loudly in her brain which I couldn't ignore." Shen replied.

"Or maybe you were worried so much that you peeked in her mind to know about my whereabout." Vine said with a sly smile.

Shen remained silent.

"Fine. I wanted to gift you a scarf." Vine said.

"Scarf?" Shen asked.

"The way Eren gifted a scarf to Mikasa. I wanted to gift you one too. She liked her gift so much, she wears it all time, no matter how much worn out it is." Vine said with a smile.

"I see." Shen said with a deep thought. "However, this doesn't give you a right to skip your meals. Come with me." Shen said in an ordering tone.

"Tsk. Fine. You know I can't win against you." Vine said with a fake sad expression, "But before that, here-" She went near Shen and placed a black scarf on his neck. "Ta-da!"

"So this was what you were making for me?" Shen asked.

"Yes" Vine replied with a huge grin.

Shen touches the scarf and feels it. He then slowly tucks his mouth inside and in a muffled voice says, "Thank you Vine".

"Did you say something?" Vine asks with a cunning smile.

"I said thank you for this." Shen said in a serious tone and started walking out. "Now come to the Dining Hall and have some food." he ordered.

"Yes sir." she replied.
