Syn gave the heavens a glance, trying to find comfort up above the starless sky. She had to have a moment of repose as an empty feeling rose inside of her heart.
It had been a long time after she left her family home to work in another country. She dearly missed her caring mother and was happy that they were able to meet. However, the circumstance of their reunion wasn't one worth to be remembered. She coveted to spend some time with her mother in a way that would allow them to create enough memories to overthrow the looming shadows of their dark past.
Having had that thought, it seemed that it was not in her mind today.
At that moment, it wasn't the feeling of regret that made her disappointed with herself, but because she had a desire for her mother to leave early. There was even a small voice in her head, ceaselessly whispering about how her mother was being a nuisance.
She attempted to dismiss it, yet it only became louder.
