Syn was still unsure if Konrad would go along with her plan, so she couldn't give a clear cut answer to her mother's request. After all, Konrad Brecheisen was not someone she could control.

She was only betting on the fact that he was her next client, but the lady didn't dare to put her trust on a contract that she was getting paid for. To begin with, the value that she placed on herself was on a level that was similar to treating herself like a servant. She didn't think that Konrad, who was not a part of her family, would even consider heeding the words of a mere prostitute.
