A Rich Man's Lover

This is a story about an open-relationship between an unwilling prostitute and a married man. He was in an open marriage, but she's not the wife. To be one of the many partners of a man committed to another woman was her role. She wanted to hide her feelings that were starting to grow, her longing to be by his side, and lastly herself, by virtue of an open relationship. However, it was all for naught. When everything came to light, she desired to end the relationship they had. Her last words echoed through his mind as she bid him farewell through her mournful eyes. "If only I hadn't met you, I wouldn't be hurting this badly."

"Mrs Rosenfeldt, care to have a word with me?" Grego asked the moment he caught up with the woman.

Without wasting a beat, Raeliana lowered her head and said, "I apologize, but let's talk after the doctor's check-up. I want to know what's happening with my daughter."

Rather than weariness, Grego could only remark how impassive the woman sounded. He didn't need to be present in the incident that had transpired earlier to know that something was wrong. As what could be seen on her countenance, her eyes were a tad swollen and the tip of her nose was red. There was also an aura of gloom surrounding her mien, making other people feel bad for her. However, the man didn't concern himself with it.

"It's fine. I can wait. Would you mind if I stay inside the room for the time being?"

"Please make yourself comfortable."

"Alright, you best listen to the doctor."
