A Rich Man's Lover

This is a story about an open-relationship between an unwilling prostitute and a married man. He was in an open marriage, but she's not the wife. To be one of the many partners of a man committed to another woman was her role. She wanted to hide her feelings that were starting to grow, her longing to be by his side, and lastly herself, by virtue of an open relationship. However, it was all for naught. When everything came to light, she desired to end the relationship they had. Her last words echoed through his mind as she bid him farewell through her mournful eyes. "If only I hadn't met you, I wouldn't be hurting this badly."

December 2003: Attempt

The instant that the door opened, revealing the figure of a man, Maxwell shot up from his seat and approached the newcomer.

"What are you doing here? How dare you show yourself!" He said through gritted teeth, barely holding himself back from hitting the man.

Earning Maxwell's ire was the unwavering grin on the visitor's face. He became conscious of the mockery that was on the man's eyes, and as expected, it made him even angrier.

"What?! Are you deaf now?! Don't you have anything to say?!"

On the other hand, Raeliana has had enough. While still seated, she turned to face her husband.

"Maxwell, lower your voice. You might disturb Syn."

"What disturb?! She hasn't even shown signs of waking up for the past week!" Maxwell then combed his fingers through his already dishevelled hair.
