48 47.

With my disguise worn at hand, I quickly made my way to the enemy army. I was about to enter when a soldier stopped me.

"You're a scout right? Why are you back? Are you done patrolling?" He asked me.

"Its fine. Aren't they just monks? They won't be able to sneak attack us, don't you think? Besides, I've scanned the perimeter and haven't found anything suspicious." I said and the Soldier didn't find fault with what I said for he knew it too.

"All right then." The Soldier let me go inside the camp and I started roaming the base around. Trying to find the best escape routes and finding engaging points.

I would be greeted by the soldiers every now and then, some of them were even drinking alcohol. Confident that they've already won. I don't blame them for their confidence, I mean, they have guns, biochemical weapons, and other technological weapons, of course they would be confident against monks who fight using their fist and staff. Its way different from the western kingdoms attacking us where the technological difference between us isn't that high.

I was trying hard to find the biochemical weapons but it made sense if they wouldn't put it out in the open. I tried prying the tents open one by one, until I found the biochemical weapons. I found them split up in five different tents. I marked the tents in my mind. I heard them saying that they will attack tomorrow so it kind of gives me a breathing room to act.

I only have one time to activate the biochemical weapons and escape. With the time I have, I went out of the camp to gain more field vision. I told the same soldier that I'm going out on another patrol and he nodded and told me to be careful.

I scoured the area for a vantage point where I could see the army camp below. I found a huge tree at a cliff near the camp and climbed it. I could see the army camp down below and I started planning my entry point and escape route.

I picked the one from the west since its near the cliff and escaping from the west is going to be hard since there's a cliff nearby where I could be trapped.

I would then trigger the biochemical weapon at the back to cut off their retreat path. I would then trigger the east side so they are completely trapped and the only way to escape is up the mountains where I can lay an ambush. I could then take the remaining biochemical weapon to create an ambush for the soldiers.

With a solid plan in my mind, I waited for the sun to set to enact my plan. Its going to be a solo mission so I need to be more careful. I ate another provision to satiate my hunger before jumping down the tree.

I returned to the camp and nodded at the soldier. I then blended in the dark and waited. As the night passed by, I started acting on my plan. I could see two soldiers guarding the tent where the biochemical weapon. I waited for an opportunity to strike. One of the soldier separated from the other soldier to take a leak and my opportunity has come. I snapped the neck of the soldier who's going to pee and approached the soldier left behind in the tent.

"Hey, man. Aren't you tired?" I asked the soldier.

"Yeah. I'm tired but if I didn't guard the weapon inside we would be scolded by the higher ups." The soldier said and I nodded.

"Eh? Where's your partner? I thought there are two people guarding the tent?" I asked him and he tried looking around. As soon as his eyes left me, I snapped his neck as well. I had him and the other soldier I killed sit down on chairs and made them look like they are sleeping.

I entered the tent and saw the biochemical weapon that they are going to use in the invasion. I could see the flask being covered in glass. There no sort of protection towards the biochemical weapon like a password or any code of sort.

With my experience in fiddling stuff, I started fiddling around the biochemical weapon. I was busily fiddling the biochemical weapon when I heard talking outside.

'This is bad.' I thought as I went out of the tent and saw a soldier waking the two soldiers I've killed.

"What are you doing in there, scout?" From his tone of voice, I could tell that he's a high ranking officer.

"Those two are drunk and told me to keep watch for them before they fell asleep." I said seriously as if that's what really happens. No matter how ridiculous a lie is, if your expression is as serious as it can be, it can be taken as the truth, especially if they are dumb. And this officer in front of me is one of them. If my assumptions were correct, this guy is a character who's put all his attribute points into strength.

"Is that so? Then wait for me here, I'll call others to replace them." The officer said and turned around. As soon as he turned around, I jumped and sleeper choked the guy. With body control, I shifted my weight into the back and we fell down. I was the first one to fall and received the initial impact but that was fine as long as I get the perfect angle, its all good.

The high ranking officer tried prying my hands that are locked into his neck but my hold around his neck is tight. It didn't take me long before I killed him. I could've killed him with my spear when he turned around but I need this guy's armor and badge.

I dragged the big guy inside the tent and placed him in the back of a stack of box.

I continued fiddling the biochemical weapon for a few more minutes and I slowly understood its mechanism. I first set a timer on the device and hid the device on where I put the high ranking officer, at the back of the boxes.

With one device triggered, I moved on to the next one. This time with a high ranking badge, I just told the soldiers guarding the biochemical weapon that I'm going to inspect the inside of the tent. I triggered the three main biochemical weapon in my plan.

I thought of stealing the remaining two but I decided against it. The device is attached to the ground and couldn't be dragged because I would be caught if I tried to steal it, I tried putting it in the spatial ring but it seems like its useless since its not an item of mine. Left with no choice and time, I activated one more biochemical weapon before quickly leaving the camp. No one tried to block my path since my rank is higher than theirs.

As soon as I left the camp, I could hear shouting from the East side of the camp and I could tell that they have finally caught on to the two soldiers I killed.

Without wasting any second longer, I ran as fast as I could because I was counting in my head mentally. There's only 15 secs left before the first biochemical weapon activates. I ran as fast as I could and went to the tree where I could see the entire camp.

I sat down to watch what's going to happen. 15 seconds have passed by and I haven't seen any explosions yet.

'Have they neutralized the biochemical weapons already?' I thought that they have deactivated the biochemical weapons since I haven't seen any destruction yet.

One more thing I learned from roaming around the enemy army camp is that there are no prominent figures leading them and only one scientist to activate the biochemical weapon.

I thought that it hasn't activated but I suddenly saw the soldiers panicking and suddenly dropping down like flies while holding their neck.

'Oh, was it a poison gas?' I was dumbfounded I thought that I would see a huge explosion or something but with a poison gas, even my current location isn't safe.

Jumping down from the tree, I ran up the mountain to get the hell away from that army camp. I didn't even care if I wiped them all out or if they manage to survive from that catastrophe.

I was panting from running as fast as I could away from that place. I didn't know how fast did the gas spread it was colorless and probably odorless. I didn't know if I got poisoned as well so I just sat down and rested on a tree.

A few more hours have passed by but I haven't felt any signs of internal bleeding or any signs that I am poisoned. I sighed in relief because if there's one thing I'm sh*t at, it is detoxification.

The tree that I am resting at is near the monastery and I thought that the invasion is going to be over. I was dead wrong. I saw 30+ soldiers wearing huge ass armor like freaking iron man's Mark I climbing up the mountain carrying guns.

"What the f*ck? Where did those armors come from? From the boxes? I thought that they were just full of provisions." I cursed and tried to get to work.

I jumped down from the tree and blended with the dark. It is still just 2 hours after midnight from my estimation so I still have plenty of time to use the dark as my cover.

I summoned my spear from my spatial ring and tried to lurk around the marching juggernauts.

"How am I supposed to do this?"I thought as I looked at the juggernauts. I have no problems seeing them since lights were covering their body so that they could see each other in the dark, I guess?

'Their armor have no opening at all. Well, I guess I should test them out.' I thought as I sneaked at the back of the juggernaut at the furthest back.

I stabbed the back of the armor and only the tip of the spear manage to get in. I pulled the spear out to see the distance between the armor and the pilot. The juggernauts turned around and opened fire.

I ran for my life and jumped into the cliff but not before stabbing the spear for my foothold. The juggernauts stopped firing and tried to look for my remains. I stabbed Initio as another foothold and waited for someone to check the cliffs.

A juggernaut peeked at the cliff and tried to light the cliff up when I used the barbed spikes of the spear to pull him down to the cliff.

'One down. Twenty Nine to go. What a pain in the ass.' I thought as I quickly came up and hid in the dark as fast as I could. I have an idea of the distance between the armor and the pilot so I think my plan will work.

I continued lurking around the juggernauts as they tried their best to find me. I got almost caught for so many times by their search lights but thankfully they didn't.

I tested my plan on an unsuspecting juggernaut and stabbed the back of the juggernaut. As soon as the spearhead touched the inside of the armor, I unleashed the red lightning inside the armor. It probably fried the soldier inside but with the red lightning, I was like a fire to a moth. All search lights of the juggernauts turned to me and I knew that it was time to run.

The juggernauts started firing and a few bullets got me but with the help of body control, my muscles spewed out the bullets, and closed the wounds. I ran as fast as I could, using the trees, or rocks in the way to block the assault of the juggernauts.

After 15 seconds of running, I heard their guns click and ran out of bullet. With a huge downtime, I took down another juggernaut before they managed to reload their guns.

'Twenty Seven Juggernauts. What the f*ck this isn't going to work.' I cursed because my methods might be effective against the juggernauts, but it also puts me to danger because the red lightning is like a beacon for the enemy juggernauts.

I was heaving from the pain of being hit when I heard a confrontation within the juggernauts.

"Hikuuuu!" A single monk was fighting against the juggernaut squad, easily dodging the bullets fired by the juggernauts. I also saw another humanoid attacking the juggernauts.

"Looks like the reinforcements are here." I sighed in relief. I drank some water and once again head out to destroy more juggernaut mark I.

I would stab then unleash red lightning then retreat. With the two distracting the juggernauts, I could sneak attack and retreat without being focused.

With us being near the Monastery, the Elders heard the fighting and came out to meet the enemy. When they saw three people fighting against an army of juggernauts, they were surprised especially when they saw the disciple that they once banished a long time ago.

They helped us out and we quickly defeated the juggernauts although some were wounded by the bullets, they were still alive.

What surprised me is Sona in the back providing support with her Etwahl and different colors of aura were surrounding her. When the aura surrounding her Etwahl is green in color, the wounds seem to heal faster, when its purple in color, our movements seemed faster, and when it is blue in color, the sound was so piercing that it could probably harm the pilot of the Mark I armor.

Sona was focused on supporting her allies and her songs were fast paced to accommodate the fast paced battle and react when necessary.

The juggernauts were defeated but the calamity is still not over. The last Biochemical weapon was brought over by the juggernauts and it is already activated.

"STAY AWAY FROM THAT DEVICE!" I shouted and my shout caught them by surprise including the two reinforcements that helped out.

"What is this thing?" The monk that was banished long ago, Lee Sin asked me about the device.

"This is a device that emits an odorless and colorless poison gas. I don't know how fast it spreads and how far it can reach so I want you to run as far as you can. There's only 30 seconds but I think you can make it. There's no use defusing it one of the juggernauts destroyed the keypad, the thing that could help stop this device. NOW RUN!" I said and they all quickly retreated.

"Let me." Lee Sin said. He didn't want that device to harm anyone so he decided to borrow a huge amount of power of the Dragon Spirit. Lee Sin was allowed to borrow the power, but in exchange, the Dragon Spirit took the sight of his eyes.

Lee Sin grunted but his sight was a cheap price to pay if he could use the power to destroy the device that could harm the monastery. Lee Sin kicked the device so hard that the device flew down the cliff.

'So that's the Dragon's Rage...' I was in awe after seeing Dragon's Rage in front of my eyes. It was just for a brief moment but I saw a Dragon spirit swirling around his foot when he kicked the device.

Lee Sin fell down to his knees after kicking the device down. His friend came to him and helped him up.

"Its finally over." I murmured and sat down, exhausted. I was exhausted from running around without sleeping.

The mission of protecting the monastery, cleared.
