CHAPTER 03

Superman looked at the black with red highlighted android before getting hit with a red sunbeam from its chest sending the man of steel crashing into a car. In a moment of weakness, the android walked slowly towards him before saying "I do not know this metallo but I assure you I am way stronger than anyone you've ever faced" Then picked up speed before gut-checking him kicking him a few feet away.

"You're not metallo," he says after gaining enough space to collect energy from the sun without being hindered by the kryptonite and R.S beams. "Oh really? What gave it away" the war machine remarked before morphing its hand into a mini turret and firing kryptonite bullets at him which Superman did with swift response But was knocked out of the sky by another red beam.

"The name is War Machine and I'm the one who ended the super- gah," War Machine said while introducing himself before he was hit square in the first by a bat-shaped jet which sent him skipping like a pebble on the water for seven feet before he crashed into a building. While Superman was recovering a figure landed beside him, he was dressed in a bat-themed costume with a bat symbol on his chest. "Superman status report," the cloaked figure said "Very nice to see you too Batman" Superman replied "he seemed to be running on a red sun core and can shoot kryptonite," he added. "he's designed with everything you're weak against, whoever did this wants you out of the picture permanently" Batman said, after observing for a while he noticed something about the android.

"Superman cover me" Batman yelled while printing in a zigzag manner and throwing a few explosive batarangs at war machine.

Superman needing no reason not to trust his partners' undisclosed plan, began assaulting the android with a volley of vehicles.

This resulting partnership led to war machine focusing only on Superman who seemed to be the biggest threat which made him completely forget about Batman who took the moment of its distraction to rush towards it, jump onto its shoulder from behind, and stab some explosive batarangs into it's red core.

The resulting action caused war machine to malfunction before its core started overloading.

"Superman we need to take it as far from Earth as possible" Batman yelled, his voice filled with utmost urgency. Needing no further information, the man of steel wrapped the android with a broken-down car before hoisting it up and flying toward the nearest black hole as fast as possible.

A few minutes after the battle Superman came back looking exhausted but was quickly recovering due to the constant yellow sun rays he was receiving.

"Do you have any details about the attacker, what it wanted?" the dark knight questioned. "Always so straight Batman" Superman began "To be honest this guy was new to me, he seemed well prepared to fight against me and it looked like it was testing me because it didn't seem to attack my vital points. Whoever created it knew what they were doing. Have any idea who it might be?" superman said which earned him a grunt from the cowled figure.

"I'll need to do some more research into the issue. We might need to bring it forward to the Justice League" he said before calling his bat jet and boarding into it.
