Entering into someone else's mind space is a simple process but it would be difficult to accomplish since it would be easier to kill someone in the real world but Maddox had a unique advantage, unlike most people who developed a mind space.

Normally one can only view the mind space of those with the same energies of miasma or essence that they wielded which Maddox had access to both of them so he could invade anyone's mind easily. This was another advantage he held and he wanted to exploit it with higher-ranked infected and senior members of the Coalition to extract information from them.

The only thing that he could not use this mindscape intrusion technique was on regular people which sucked but as long as someone in a field that he wanted to learn about was giving out either essence or miasma then he should be able to enter their mind and copy their memories. That still needed to be tested though.

The only dangers Maddox could view in the mindscape of someone else was either essence from Coalition members and the consciousness of miasma creatures, other than that there was not much that could harm him as far as he had seen.

Still having almost had his head bit off back in Dog's mindscape fresh in his mind made Maddox a bit more cautious than usual since he did not know how different these girls' mindscapes would be.

He had only been in one other mindscape that was filled with essence and that was Jack's but he was a newcomer so he did not have any experience or techniques to utilize against Maddox when he invaded his memories.

Placing his hands on the youngest looking girl of the group Maddox enters her mindscape.

Once again Maddox finds himself surrounded by an area of pure white that spans out far into the distance.

A mind space area is related to how strong the person is so the stronger they are the bigger the area and since Maddox was surrounded in pure white with some golden glows of essence orbs floating around meant he had no idea how far he was till the border of the mind space and the actual memory area.

Maddox had limited control within essence since his form in the mind space went towards miasma meant he could instantly affect things around him just like within Dog's mind space, but here he could not control anything.

So Maddox simply moves forward hoping to eventually hit the wall of the mind space soon enough if he went one direction.

However, as time goes on Maddox has the strange feeling that he is not making any progress seeing as after all this time he had been going in a straight line but had not reached the border so he stops for a moment.

He also had this strange feeling that while he was moving he was also not at the same time, or like he had just been moving around in circles like a dog chasing after its tail.

So Maddox places his gaze on the only thing that he can truly see in this vastness of white surrounding him, he focuses on one essence orb in the distance and starts moving again.

As Maddox moves though he sees that he was right and had been moving around in circles this entire time as his gaze on the orb in the distance shifts ever so slightly the more he moves in one direction.

'Clever but not enough to stop an intruder like me,' Maddox thinks as he begins to try and remedy his situation

It was easy to counter as Maddox just had to correct his direction from time to time to hit the border.

As Maddox was about to cut the barrier and absorb the essence that made it up he senses a gaze upon him. Recognizing it and learning from his previous experience with Jack he knew that the person whose mind space he was in was watching him.

Knowing this though Maddox knew that the person would not form a body unless he did something that caused them to show up since most Coalition members probably never had to deal with a mind space invasion before they were probably just curious as to what Maddox was and what he was doing here.

So carefully cutting out a section of the essence barrier that made up the mind space Maddox gains access to the memories of the person he was invading.

Like before he was in a maze-like structure with only the path before him barely illuminated but this time Maddox has a plan on where to go and immediately begins to search for the first door he can find.

After a few twists and turns, Maddox finds a moderately worn down door that looks decent enough meaning the memories are in the middle of their mind.

Opening it Maddox is brought once again before the floating text.

[Input command]

Maddox does not say anything this time but instead brings more miasma into his hand through his link to his body and grabs the text just like he did with Dogs.

The results this time are the same with the text flashing gray for a moment before turning back to its original white color.

[Imprinting successful, welcome back adminster]

It worked just like before meaning Maddox had a way to change everything about a person.

"Change personality"

The same panel as before appears in front of Maddox and he begins to make edits before the person who was observing him found out what he was doing.

"Wait a minute..." Maddox's gaze falls on something he sees once again within the panel that was found in Dog's

[Unchangeable: Blind loyalty to [Redactied] and when called by [Redactied] upon will fulfill any request made of them regardless of personal feelings]

"Okay, what the hell is this?"

This was getting weird with two of the same messages appearing now with the information that he could not view which made him feel concerned at this. It made him concerned because the thought about the possibility of this also affecting was possible and made him want to attempt to see if he could check it himself once he was done with this.

Still, though the formation of vaguely humanoid beings of essence being created made Maddox forget about that and focus on quickly overwriting some of the traits since doing all of them would take too long, plus he may not be able to remember how it was originally.

These new essence beings were all feminine in stature with them all having swords of essence being created within their grasp with them all glowing in light gold color but their creation process was a bit slower when compared to those wolves back in Dog's mind space that seemed to be endless at times.

It would be safer to call these beings essence warriors than anything since there were armed with weapons, but since they were taking a while to form Maddox turns his attention back to doing a few modifications to the personality for now.

Maddox had full intentions of letting the girls go after he had finished accessing their memories and anything else of value that they had, but he would make sure that they would be sure to update him about the ongoings within the Coalition.

He wanted to build a network of information within the Coalition since it seemed that some of the members were corrupt he had no idea how deep the infection in the organization was, plus having some sleeper agents within the Coalition might prove to be useful someday.

Getting rid of some of the items shown on the panel allowed Maddox to save them and freeze all the essence warriors that were soon going to attack him. The time needed for the changes to occur allowed Maddox to make more in-depth changes rather than surface changes like he did just now.

Eventually, everything was completed with the save and updating process underway right now so all the humanoid figures were frozen stiff.

'Still, how are these created...' Maddox was drawn to how these different beings were created though since there was no way to control them all with one mind, unless...

'They aren't created consciously

Seeing the way how these things had been created and acted Maddox began to see how these things were created and allowed them to act as they do.

These beings and creatures that Maddox had encountered were all be controlled by the subconscious mind which allows them to move on their own without the conscious mind moving them.

Every day in life we subconsciously do things that are specific to us and as a way to live, for example responding to danger.

Only when Maddox had become an administrator for this girl's mind did these essences beings begin to form meaning they were a sort of natural response to the threat of danger. Dog's miasma wolves also followed that concept as the wolves only showed up after Dog probably realized that it was in danger and unconsciously the miasma wolves form.

That was pretty neat since that meant that Maddox would also have some natural defenses within his body if someone or something tried to become an administrator or he realized he was in danger.

As for well, they would do against an intruder was entirely unknown since Maddox did not test it out himself nor did he want to.

Thus the only way to make his unconscious defenses better was to improve his unconscious habits and introduce new things that could potentially help them. Now would it work? Maddox had no idea but still, it was worth a shot since peace of mind was always nice.

How to do that was simple since all he had to do was repetitively do things until they became as simple as breathing and were done unconsciously which was going to be tough.

Still, he would have to work on that later as Maddox's changes had just finished saving within the girl.

The golden essence warriors start moving again but instead, this time all of them start to dissipate and the essence that created them begins to form a new body of a female kneeling but this one has two white orbs as eyes and a bit shinier gold skin.

It was essentially the opposite coloration of Dog's coloration while it took form within its mind space which showed how polar opposite both essence and miasma were.

"Greeting sir!" A loud voice rings out

It was of course the female in front of Maddox that said these words who had been affected by his changes to her personality.

"Alright please get up I need some things from you," Maddox says getting straight to the point and not wanting to waste more time in here than necessary.

"Yes sir!" The girl says while standing up and getting into a position of attention

"I want you to make copies of and gather your memories that pertain to the history of the Coalition, essence techniques, fighting styles or training, miasma history, current Coalition operations, and finally anything miasma wielding infected that you have faced against or heard about," Maddox issues his command and the girl nods her head furiously

"Good now go and once done let me know through the connection," Maddox says before he returns to his body and leaves the girl by herself

Once Maddox leaves though she looks around for a bit before seeing a string on the ground that distinctly reeks of miasma which she can sense and can only feel disgusted towards.

However, as her thoughts turn back to Maddox her mind gets all fuzzy and her head begins to pound rapidly as her body reacts strangely at the thought of Maddox.

"Eh~ heh~" Her breathing for some reason gets heavy

'I will finish my task before the other bitches can even get theirs so he can praise me~' She thinks before she vanishes from the room

Maddox had no idea what he was doing by changing the personality of these women nor the storm that he was creating for himself, but he would soon learn.
