I'll be there for you

Both of them held the eye contact for some time. They just stared at each other. One soullessly, another didn't know how to break the eye contact and wondering how to respond.

Calista was the one who broke the eye contact. She heaved a long sigh. She still could not accept what had happened. Tears started flowing down her cheeks even though she didn't want to cry. Her whole body hurt like they were being pierced with countless needles at the same time. On top of that her heart ached. It was in pain because she ignored all the blaring red signs and let all of this happen. Had she listened to those signs she wouldn't have been here.

Isac stood there. He didn't want to leave her alone. After all he was not a cold hearted person. He maybe strict, punctual and expects the best when he's at work, but now that's not the case.

Although he's workaholic he would never pressurize people to get the job done. He was atleast aware of the stress they'll be going through if they had a lot of work.

Calista weeped helplessly. She knew she won't be able to do anything. He moved a little closer to her because he couldn't stand watching her cry. He sat near her. Didn't know if he could touch her or pat her gently. "Do you mind if I sit here?" Although he already sat next to her, he just wanted to confirm whether it was okay to sit. She slightly nodded as she kept crying. She pulled her knees together in the front and rested her arms as she cried.

" I don't want to trouble you, but would you mind telling me what had happened? I'll do my best to be there for you, I hope we can solve this " he said gently.

Calista nodded her head no. Isac responded by nodding his head, but calista didn't see that. "Thank you, I don't mind telling what happened but,..... I don't want you to do anything about it.. Let's just leave this as it is. "

Isac wanted to argue but he just agreed with her for the time being. He knew that this was not the time for him to argue about how important it is to solve the problem. He understood that all she needed now was time and someone to be there for her.

"Okay.. " was all he said.
