The air inside the cave was heavy with the stench of sweat, blood, and dirt. Li An's figure rummages among the fallen bandits and manjas, her slender flashing figure almost ethereal in the dim light filtering through the cracks of the rocky walls. Her sword streaked with crimson, rested in her right hand as she frowned after taking the valuables.
She surveyed the captives she had just freed. Their expressions of fear and awe were etched deeply on their pale faces.
"Follow me closely," she instructed the captives, her voice calm yet firm. Despite her young age, her poise exuded a maturity far beyond her years. Her eyes darted to the entrance of the cave, keenly aware of the world outside.
Just as they began moving, a shadow appeared at the mouth of the cave, casting an imposing figure. A low, guttural laugh echoed, sending shivers down the spines of the captives.
