Once we get back to the cave we see that the sun is setting. Beatrice and I elect to go to sleep. I waited until Beatrice went to sleep and re-opened my stat sheet.
Vergil - 'Woah! I leveled up! But it's kind of slow for my tastes.'

Vergil - 'Well it's fine. Better than not leveling up at all. At least now I know I CAN level up. It also seems that I grew a little. Hmm, Beatrice is likely to be strong, especially in special attack. Maybe asking for training from her would be a good idea… tomorrow.'
As I finish my internal dialogue I lay down on the hard floor a begin to nod off to sleep.
Vergil - 'God I miss beds.'
——————-The Next Day——————
I wake up to see the stone cold floor(haha) and no Beatrice in sight.
Vergil - 'I suppose I could circulate my energy until she returns. It seems to bring me benefit.'
I sit cross legged in a lotus position and begin to circulate my energy. I hear the sound of teleportation and stop what I'm doing. I open my eyes to see Beatrice floating in front of me, psychically holding what appears to be breakfast.
Vergil - "Thank you."
Beatrice - "You are welcome."
I gorge myself ignoring my main mission. Man this stuff just tastes too damn good! Is this what being a snorlax is like? I finish my food and patiently wait for Beatrice to finish hers. Once she does I ask her the question.
Vergil - "I want to… become stronger… can you… teach me?"
She's giving me an incredulous look.
Vergil - "Did I… say something wrong?"
Beatrice sighs after hearing my question.
Beatrice - "No, it is just that you have not been around for long and you already want to get stronger?"
She closed her eyes and sighs yet again.
Beatrice - "I will not teach you. I do know a friend who MIGHT be willing to teach you. Do you wish do go now?"
Vergil - "Tomorrow… what do you… want to do… now?"
God talking while a newborn is a pain in the ass. Either way she seemed to be happy that I'm willing to spend some time with her. Bless her little heart.
Beatrice - "I would love if we were to simply walk through the forest."
Vergil - "I have… no objection."
I enjoy walking through the forest allowing my mind to wander. We again walk through the forest this time without incident. This time around she asks me a question.
Beatrice - "You seem to have difficulty speaking. Would you perhaps be open to me reading your mind until you can speak properly?"
I love this woman and all she's done for me but…
Vergil - "no."
Sorry grandma, but I'm just really paranoid about that stuff. Especially if she were to find out my secret. She was a little upsetti spaghetti, but she didn't object.
——————-The Next Day——————
In the morning we again have breakfast and she teleports us. I be sure to prepare myself this time, and it's not nauseating. I follow her lead and we walk up to a dead tree.
Beatrice - "Miranda I know you're there."
I next hear a cackle come from behind. I turn around to watch as a mismagius emerges from the ground. I feel a shiver down my spine when their eyes lock onto me. That immediately disappears as their eyes open wide and they begin to eye me up and down. They circle around me a couple times and stop in front of me.
Miranda - "You've brought a very special specimen to me this time. Very, indeed. So! I know you never visit me for pleasantries. What do ya want?"
Beatrice sighs again. Lots of sighs this time of year, a bountiful harvest.
Beatrice - "This little one is Vergil. He asked to be taught so I brought him to you."
This 'Miranda' hmmms and seems to come to a verdict.
Miranda - "Alright, I'll bite. There will be a cost though."
Beatrice - "And what, pray tell, May that be?"
She says with a raised brow.
Miranda - "Your soul!"
Beatrice gives her a deadpan stare.
Miranda - "Kekekekeke, lighten up will ya! Learn to take a joke."
Miranda says while hovering around Beatrice. Speaking of, she does NOT appeared to be amused. I guess they have history or something.
Miranda - "Well given the uniqueness of the situation I'll do it for free. For old times sake buddy!"
Beatrice just shakes her head then turns to me.
Beatrice - "This is Miranda, an old friend of mine. I do implore you to have patience as not only is she a handful but her teaching methods are… extreme, to say the least."
Oh lord, is this one of those teachers who force you to run 10 laps for making a minor mistake? I hope not. Beatrice senses my nervousness and comes in to save the day. She crouches down to my level and says.
Beatrice - "You do not need to worry, she won't cause permanent injury. Besides, you'll do just fine."
She says this with a hand on my shoulder and a sweet smile on her face. This gives me some confidence, and I stop thinking about the possibly painful future. Again, God bless this lady's heart. After saying her part she teleports away. I turn back to Miranda to see her giving me an evil smile. She cackles once again and says.
Miranda - "We have a lot of work to do."
