I Miss You So Much

People were not so easy to reconcile with each other, especially when they were not like two or three-year-old children. They couldn't bury the hatchet in a day or two.

Kailey was an especially cautious person. She had her standards, and they were not like the secular ones. She always thought that secular values were there to limit normal people. Kailey was not one of them.

Being a bad person was much more comfortable than being a good person. This was a bit of a gain in Kailey's many years of hard work.

Of course, Maverick did not know that Kailey already knew Candy's birth mother. And like Amor, Kailey pretended she didn't know for certain.

Although there were differences, Maverick didn't want to examine whether what Kailey said was true or not.

After all, after so many years, there was a soft spot in Maverick's heart that was left for his mother.

Kailey felt that this was good for Maverick. That was a one-way ticket for her.
