My eyes fell to the half-eaten waffle in Erica's hand and then rose back to her when I heard her giggle.

Erica never giggled.

I furrowed my brows. "Are you drunk?"

I followed her in and watched her plop down on one of my dining chairs. She was in the same clothes as yesterday when she dropped me off. She pushed herself sideways just enough to stare at me with half-shut eyes. "I'm a certified loner. That's what I am."

"Did you drive all the way drunk?" I asked and then turned to the door like it would provide an answer. "In the snow?" I muttered.

"Whiskey?" she had the biggest grin as she rummaged through my fridge. She'd got off the chair.

I shut my eyes for a few moments. She somehow managed to make being drunk at seven in the morning and disturbing my peace seem classy and fun. I opened my eyes when she stopped grumbling about my lack of alcohol and talking to herself. My eyes went wide immediately.

"No, don't do that!"
