18 Chapter 18 - Hashira Meeting Part 01

Mukago is released from captivity and is living in the room next to Ace's room. Tomorrow all of the Hashira will be gathered in this place, commencing their semi-annual meeting.

Ace is the best authority figure for Mukago making Oyakata tasked him to be the one who watched Mukago's action.

It seems that damage cause by energies is harder to heal, Ace find that out yesterday when he woke up, It took him 2 hours straight of using heal without prayer to heal himself.

Ace is planning to travel and gather information about Kibutsuji after the meeting tomorrow. given If nothing goes wrong.

With detection, he will be the most skilled information gatherer.

'I wonder if Urokodaki will be willing to train Mukago,' Ace thought while laying on his futon. Mukago as of now has the strength and durability to fight demons but she has no techniques, that is why Shinobu easily pacifies her.

With various skills in his arsenal, Ace is confident that he can beat any upper-rank demon, but if they gank him there is a chance that he will still lose.

Prayer of war is his final way of defeating stronger demons, he won't use it unless demanded.

The problem right now is demons are so hard to find, and Ace only watched the anime of demon slayer, he doesn't know where the upper ranks are hiding.

His best shot is the place where Tanjiro will meet Muzan when he is already a demon slayer which will be one and a half years from now.

Nine figures are standing in front of Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the demon slayer corps also know as Oyakata-sama.

Beside Oyakata are his trusted attendee, the white-haired girls, Hinaki Ubuyashiki and Nichika Ubuyashiki.

These important figures are waiting for someone to arrive.

"Oh, sorry we were late, I was training Mukago yesterday," Ace entered the scene.

Ace right now is wearing his new clothes, a standard demon slayer uniform with his black haori with diamond pattern in its sleeves.

To be a demon slayer you must pass the final election but Ace bypasses that by capturing a live kizuki and turning it into her. Top that...

'Ace-sama just overslept...' Mukago thought

Having two days of thinking Mukago finally decides what she wants. Her sins are too dire to be redeemed but still, that man saves her.

Mukago is wearing a white robe inside of a navy blue yukata with a white flower pattern on it. In her waist there is a demon slayer katana attached, Ace gave it to her because katana is not Ace's forte.

"So you decided to come, Ace," Oyakata gave him a gentle smile, "Everyone, let's start our meeting."

Ace is back in a room where Mukago regains her humanity. Seating in front of everyone is the gentle but wise Oyakata.

The Hashiras are seating in the west corner there is some space from Ace and Mukago that is seating on the east side of the room.

The only Hashira that knows about Ace and Mukago's existence is Shinobu and Mitsuri, the rest is in the dark.

"Everyone, I want you to listen closely to what I will say to all of you," Oyakata started his speech.

"We have been blessed by fate, Here before us is the man named Ace, He has a unique power that will help us to purge all of the demons," Oyakata said then look at Ace, "He already prove that demons can be turn to human again."

"That sound so flamboyant Oyakata-sama, So where is his proof?" The sound hashira, Tengen Uzui said.

Shinobu pointed to Mukago then said, "She is a demon three days ago, Mas~...erm, Ace-san cured her in front of Oyakata, Mitsuri, and I."

The hashiras look and Mitsuri for confirmation which Mitsuri answered with a nod.

"I can't believe it! The demon slayer corp's mission is to annihilate demons not save them!" The wind hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa said.

Mukago slightly hid behind Ace because of fear from the wind hashira. Ace pat his shoulders effectively calming her down.

"I understand your anger and pain my dear child, but the corps is made to protect humanity, so that no one would go through what you all experience," Oyakata said then added, "And that is not all that he can do...Ace-san, can you pray for my beloved children?"

The Hashira's except Shinobu and Mitsuri felt weird because they don't know what prayer can do.

Ace nod then said, "If everyone can close their eyes, we will start our morning prayer..."

"Really? what is this? what the hell is happening?" The serpent hashira, Obanai Iguro said but still closed his eyes like the other hashira.

"Umm, Excuse me Ace-san, but this is not time for a joke you know..." Mitsuri said while fidgeting.

"Hahahaha Sorry sorry the Hashiras are so cute I want to tease them," Ace laugh making the Hashiras quickly open their eyes and stare and him with contempt.

"Ara ara what a bad boy you are Ace-san," Shinobu said, she and Mitsuri know that Ace doesn't need to make the other close their eyes for the prayer.

"HAHAHAHA! That is funny!" Kyojuro Rengoku laugh, Ace felt a little awkward because he knows the Kyojuro meant this laugh and not in a sarcastic way.

Ace sigh and started his prayer, "[When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed, don't give up hope, We wish for your blessings so we can cope, Prayer of Blessing.]" He targeted all of the Hashiras.

Bright light particles start appearing making the slightly dark room brighter.

"Beautiful..." The mist hashira, Muichiro Tokito said.

The lights separated and entered the body of nine hashira. The strength gain is instant which they quickly noticed.

"This prayer of you really feels good, I'm getting addicted to this feeling..." Shinobu said with a sweet voice.

"Yosh! Time to hunt demons!" The tempura head, Kyojuro said then stand up to leave the meeting.

Sanemi quickly moves and grabs Kyojuro's head and slams his face on the ground, "You don't disrespect Oyakata-sama like that."

"Sanemi," Oyakata called out.

Sanemi comically goes back to seiza sitting position, "Yes! Oyakata-sama, forgive my abruptness."

Kyojuro stand up like nothing happened and said, "Forgive me too Oyakata-sama! but this strength is awesome!" as he returns to his sitting while regulating his breath.

"This is so flamboyant! max flamboyant, with this we will be safer on fighting demons," Tengen Uzui said as he can't help but release a scary pressure.

This is one of the side effects of prayer of blessing, it slightly increases the bloodthirstiness of people.

The meeting continued.

The hashiras have no problem with Mukago, they said that they won't judge a person that was controlled by a demon.

In fact, they were glad that she return to her humanity, The wind hashira, sanemi only problem is they should not save demons out of pity.

In the meeting, they discuss who to save and who to killed immediately.

First, the demon must be much weaker than who it is fighting with.

If the first is not met then the demon must be killed immediately.

Second, The traveling time should not pass by half a day, if the traveling time with the unconscious demon exceeds half-day the demon must be put down.

Third, if the demon did not kill or eaten any human then the second rule will not be applied to it.
