Chapter 31. An Apology

 When manager Huang heard Ji Ningyan's words, he almost vomited blood in his heart.

 He was a mall manager, but he had to be respectful in front of the second young master and did not dare to say a single harsh word.

 On the other hand, this arrogant shopkeeper girl had angered the second young master with one sentence. She was looking for death, so why did she drag him down?

 Manager Huang's face was dark as he looked at the female shopkeeper coldly. "You told the customers not to try it if they had to buy it?"

"Manager Huang, I ..." She didn't know what had gone wrong.

At the start, manager Huang looked like he was going to stand by her side. She did not expect that he would treat the man and woman as distinguished guests in the blink of an eye.

 "You don't know the immensity of heaven and earth; do you think this counter is your own? Don't you think before you speak?" Manager Huang scolded her in exasperation.

 The female shopkeeper had never suffered such grievances before. Her eyes were red as if she was about to cry the next second.

 Ning Yan mused to herself. Crocodile tears!

 Where had the arrogance and momentum from earlier when she was slandering her gone? She had the cheek to feel aggrieved.

 "You still have the face to cry? Hurry up and apologize to the guest!" Manager Huang was furious.

 If the manager's words were to spread and the higher-ups found out, he would be the first to bear the consequences.

 The shopkeeper's lips trembled. Unwillingly, she turned to Ningyan and said in a harsh tone, "I'm sorry, Miss. I was the only one who said that. It has nothing to do with the mall or the shop!"

 Although her apologetic tone wasn't frank, Ningyan still felt as if she had vented her anger.

 "You're the shop lady, so your words and actions represent the shop. I hope that you will think twice before you speak next time!"

 Ningyan had wasted so much time with her, all for an apology.

 She wasn't an unforgiving person. Since the shopkeeper girl had lowered her head, she naturally wouldn't harp on this matter.

 Unfortunately, just because Ji Ningyan was big-hearted didn't mean that Qin Nanyu would be as easy to talk to.

"Manager Huang, it seems like we should improve the quality of the staff in the mall. Qin Nanyu's voice was very gentle, but manager Huang didn't dare to underestimate him.

 Even a tiny female shopkeeper could be so arrogant. If this were to spread, it would be a slap to the face of the entire Qin Group.

 Manager Huang smiled obsequiously and said with a flattering face, "You're right. I'll arrange for people to train these employees again. We won't let today's incident happen again!"

 He paused and turned to the shopkeeper. His voice was icy. "As for you, our temple is too small to accommodate a Great Buddha like you."

"Manager ..." The shopkeeper looked at him in horror. "Are you firing me? But didn't I already apologize to that woman?"

 Manager Huang secretly observed Qin Nanyu's expression.

 Seeing that he was expressionless, he knew there was no room for negotiation.

 He scolded, "You're slandering a customer for buying fake goods. Do you think you can go to heaven with an apology? It's already good that she didn't sue you for slander; why don't you be tactful and cherish it?"

 In the end, manager Huang had to fire her in front of them in exchange for their forgiveness.

 Not only that.

 Manager Huang was afraid that Qin Nanyu wasn't satisfied, so he asked another female employee about the watch Ji Ningyan had wanted to buy. She wrapped it up, bowed, and handed it to her. "Miss, we've let you suffer today. As compensation, we'll give you this watch for free!"
