After some time passed, Chloe entered the parlor and guided them to the master bedroom. The estate was much large than the estate in the Capital so they needed to climb up four floors. Eva was a little out of breath by the time they made it to the fourth floor. Lucas glanced at her worriedly, but she waved her hand.
Since she had stopped adventuring for the last ten months, the non-exercise had caught up with her. She held on to the ornate banister and took in deep breaths. Lucas put his hand on her lower back and a brief wave of healing mana swept through her.
"I guess I need to get back in shape," she joked.
"We can start working on that tomorrow," Lucas replied.
Eva finally caught her breath and leaned on Lucas' arm. They followed Chloe to a guarded room with double doors. It felt like the royal family's wing in the royal palace. Again, Eva had to remind herself that this was supposed to be normal for a Duke.
