HERO

The sound of waves crashing could be heard from inside the boat, along with the voice of some men chuckling while playing chess. If one could focus their hearing then they would notice the sounds of bottles clinking, all that was mixed with the sound of barrels rolling inside the boat. 

Adeline could hear her tummy grumbling and her eyes slowly closing, it was not too long ago she woke up trapped inside what happened to be a crate. She had screamed and called for help but her voice was still inaudible. No matter how loud she cried, no single sound escaped her lips, she cried her hearts out when realization dawned on her that she had lost her voice. 

After falling unconscious by the lake in the park, she could no longer recall what had happened, first she was sitting with her head buried in between her knees, the next minute she was stuck inside a crate.
