72 General and Reasons

The base had now been entirely constructed, and I even had an office for myself. It was almost a copy of Sarutobi's office. The same chair with the same table and the same bloody amount of paper. I was now called "General" instead of the old Lord Red Sword.

Until now the war was going as good as it could, with a kid named Sasori who had deserted Suna, killing a lot of Suna's ninjas along the way. This made one less powerful enemy for Konoha, or should I say two as there also is the third Kazekage who mysteriously disapeared. This made the village elect the fourth Kazekage, Naza, who could not fight anymore despite being a powerful asset.

On another notice, there was Minato, who proved himself to be really powerful, as he first defeated a thousand men team alone easily, earning him the title of Yellow flash, although our enemies calls him Bloody flash…

But after that the new Raikage, the son of the one I killed, along with eight tail jinchuriki, got ambushed by Minato. He defeated the two of them but let them leave. Unfrtunetly the Raikage was not officialy the Kage so his village did not get attacked by the other ones as per the agreement.

Also, despite my position taking a lot of my time, I was still teaching as much as I could my three genin, the three now became quite powerful, and they even could work well together. This is a surprise as I, unlike the other sensei, I do not value teamwork like them. One day Guy asked me about it and I answered simply"Team work is nothing in front of overwhelming strenght."

But after that I though about what I said and realised that I made a really fool desision. I did not understand the fact that only me could say that. After this I began to focus on it more than before, and they began improving way more faster since I began training them as a team rather than indiividually.

As for me, well it is a quite boring moment of my life, I hardly sleep with my work and teaching the three genin. There is also Mikoto, she needs to go fight quite often, s she can only come back late and she is always exhausted, so we don't see each other a lot. So my planning is first paper work, then training, and sleep to finish. Fortunetly there were some occasion where I could relax, most of the time it is some important kid birth or birthday.

So now I was waiting everyday for an invitation to a birthday to stop working. And it came today, the new Uchiha's clan head, Fugaku Uchiha's, only son, Itachi, will celebrate his first birthday in a few months.

I was happy to be able to stop working for a day but sad that I would have to wait a few months. So after this invitation came five months of boring work. We now were 9th june, and it was Itachi's birthday. Not very interested in the event in itself, but I could finaly be with my wife for more than just an hour, and did not have to make paper work.

I enjoyed a lot my day even though I almost died choking on my drink when Mikoto asked " And when will our child come ?" Except this everything was fine so it could be considered the happiest day of my year, or even the only one. So after this I decided to stop this and went to the Hokage.

Once inside his office, I began to talk" Hiruzen, I am here to resign from my duty." He merrily nodded and said" I was surprised that you could endure half a year already hehe…" My eyes grew wide and I shouted" You're teeling that I could resign whenever I wanted ? You old fox, you culd have told me !"

He smiled and shook his head" No I couldn't. You were doing an amazing work, because of your manadging and your way of thinking Konoha has taken a huge advantage in this war. We are easily the most powerful nation now, even surpassing the bloody mist."

I sighed and asked" Then why don't we finish this war ?" He also sighed and replied" If we try to stop this war it will only bring problems and we are not powerful enough anyway." I rolled my eyes and said" We ARE powerful enough, even if the four other villages gang up on us, with your assistance I would be easily able to defeat them. Maybe you do not realise but with my rinnegan I can destroy any village I want."

He laughed hard and said" Stop being pretentious, I know you are powerful but first you can only make one and that is not enough, and even if you could destroy the other villages that will not bring peace." I smiled and told him" I trained and now I can make two at the same time. So why would they not stop fighting ?"

He shook his head and answered" If they stooped the war now, they would all only lose money and their men. If we stop the war by using supremacy, they will fall into poverty and start another war. This is sad but we must continue this war, even if we can stop it, we need to wait at least a few years.

And even if they accept their defeat, their villages will eventualy stop to exist because they won't have any missions left and our village alone can't take all the missions in the world."

I frowned ans said" I understand. Now, let's stop talking about this sad stuff. I have another thing I want to talk about. I wish to start training but for that I will need to tour the world, so I will not be able to stay in the village. But if their is any emergency, I will summon and leave here some of my chimeras.

I am able to see whatever they see themselves, so if anything happens I will come as fast as I can."

Hiruzen thought about it but agreed in the end, and with this started my first long training alone.
