37 Bounty and Captain

After this offensive, several things happened after. First a huge bounty has been put on my head, and also a warning to absolutely not fight against me. Basically now ennemies fled at the mere sight of me. The other big thing that happened was that Kushina position as the Kyuubi jinchuriky has been leaked, so she had to return to Konoha. Minato and I, as her closest two friends were asked to come back with her and leave the battleground.

In the end I decided to stay at the front while Minato would go back. Now more then an entire year has passed since we took the ennemy stronghold. It was the end of the year as we were in december already. I now was thirteen. Fortunetly, because of the escape at sight rder on me, I did not have to use much my eyes power so my vision did not deteriorate much.

We now were coming back from a mission. Because of the few times we fought, everyone in the team now were alive. Moreover, because of my father, my brother and my teachings, the three genin became chunnin. The three departed from the squad as our mission were too dangerous for them. So now our team was only composed of three ninjas. Me, my father and Dan.

In this year we all strenghten up. I now was considered a quite strong S rank, as I was able to defeat easily a S rank even without using Susanoo. I was around the level of two S rank joining hand with my Susanoo. My father became S rank, a low one like I was a year ago. My brother was now considered a high A rank ninja with mangekyou. Without it he was still considered a mid tier A rank. Our team was only considered second to Sarutobi's one in strenght as we were still far from a Kage level.

Most importantly, the anbu missions, that had been stopped, was about to be put in place again. The person about to become the anbu commander would be chosen this evening. All contestants had to be present. The Hokage also summoned all previous anbu. There was a little ceremony, and at the end of it, all contestants for the seat had to go on a stage. All other anbu waited in front. Nobody was in anbu clothes.

Father and I were contestants, but I knew I would not be selected as I did not want to. I was only here because of my strenght. The Hokage made another one of his speeches. He then declared" So now kneel in front of your new anbu commander, only bellow me, Atsuhiko Uchiha !" With that said we all kneeled except the Hokage and watch the Hokage hand his new uniform to my father. He declared"As the anbu commander, you will have to leave your squad and join mine."

Father nodded.We then had to disperce. I instead went with Dan to congratulate father but saw a man arguing with Sarutobi. Sarutobi calmly told him"Danzo, you are not fit for this position. You are too dark." Danzo did not answer and just departed while looking in hatred at my father. We just shook it off and congratulated father. He was so proud about himself that it became annoying.

I wispered to Dan"I bet that he will annoy mom with that for at least a few years." Dan laughed at this. When father stopped bragging, I asked him and the Hokage" So what about our teams ? Because in our squad there now only is Dan and I, same for our anbu team as the others died."

The Hokage replied" From now on your squad will be disolved because you will only fight in anbu from now on. Your father will choose one of the two of you to become the captain of your team. There also are lots of new recruits so your anbu team will have new members. You will meet with your new team like the others tomorrow. You also need to know that a lot of anbu mission will be to go fight on the first battlefront."

Father turned toward us and said"I think it will be better if the two of you decide who the captain will be."We nodded and departed as all was said. On the way back Dan began to speak"I want you to be the team leader as you are way stronger than me, and your commanding abilities improved a lot." I looked at him and nodded seeing the resolve in his eyes. We then went to sleep as it was now late.

I woke up the next morning as usual and went to the new hidden base reserved for anbu. There were all our new clothes there. I met up with Dan and went inside. We quickly changed and I smiled seeing my mask. It was the exact same as before. I put it and as soon as I did my face became expressionless as I now was Cat again, and not Kyokai. I went toward the meeting point of our team.

I waited there with Dan, or should I say Fish, and had to wait five minutes for our team to be complete. There now was four new recruits. They were Eagle, Wolf, Mouse and Bear. I looked at them and departed deeper inside the forest. I stopped at some point and said coldly"You now are new members of the Ka team. From what I know the four of you have chunnin strenght. All you need to know is that Fish can take the four of you with one hand. For me you will see later."

I looked at them and added"For our first mission we will make it together, but the next ones will be made in teams of two, three or four only. Today's mission is the assassination of targets. You have a target each. Fish and I will evaluate you. Any questions ?" The four of them shook their head and we departed toward the first target.
